Question about Brother MFC-9840CDW Laser Printer
EL, which wants to represent E6 is not a drum error code. EL (E6) means NVRAM error on main PCB.
If the error does not go away disconnecting power, then the main PCB (controller board) must be replaced.
Several forums cannot understand EL is E6 and point in the wrong direction. The full list of error codes is reported in service manual at pages 22-23. Service manual has been uploaded below:
