1. Press and hold "Stop", "Maintenance", and"Power" buttons for about 10 seconds. A message will comeon the screen saying counter is reset and to turn the printer off. TheR200 and others don't have a screen so just wait until the 10 seconds isup. 2. Turn the printer off, unplug the power cord. Wait about 1minute and power the printer back up. The counter will bereset. That's all there is to the reset procedure. 3. The waste padis actually full and ink is about to overflow, then you need to install a wastecontainer. You can see the waste pad by opening the access panel onthe back of the printer. Changing thewaste pad requires almost complete disassembly of the printer, it is a bigjob. There is an easier way. Open the access panel on the rear of theprinter (remove screw) and look inside carefully with a flashlight. You will see a tube (down and to your left) coming from the cleaning pumpand it will have an open end on it. This is the tube that delivers ink tothe waste pad. Use a piece of coat hanger wire or equivalent, and fish out thispiece of tube. Bring it to the outside of the printer, thru the accesspanel. Find yourself a suitable container (Tupperware or a plastic cup or jar)that is not too tall. Put the tube into this container and secure thetube and container so they won't come apart or lose connection if the printeris moved. If you wish you can make a hole or notch in the access panel cover soit can be replaced. Now the ink will go into this container and not into thewaste pad inside the printer. If it gets full, dump it.How do I remove and - csts_0.jpg

Epson 750 waste ink pad full

Dear Hugh Slaven,

You will need to go to the support section for Epson, and read their troubleshooter, but I reckon you will have to manually remove the cartridges and then clean/ change them, then clean the printer, try then re-calibrating after that and see how you go.

I hope this is the fixya for you and look forward to hearing how you get on.

yours sincerely

It is saying service parts are near their end of life

this is pertaining to the waste ink pad. you may replace it or clean it, if you are able to open the unit this is located beneath where the ink cartridge will stop. Or try searching epson resetter program it will help you to reload the original counter.

Epsom R200 printer - ink and paper lights flashing red.

theres a guide on how to manually reset the counter here
unless you replace or clean the waste pad from here on in regard your printer as a ticking ink bomb. put it on a tray with a lip just incase of an ink overflow and dont put it on the carpet.

You need to reset waste ink counter. Use SSC Utility or R230 Adjusment program. Find at Don't forget to replace waste ink pad, or just extend outlet pipe of head cleaning mech to outside bottle.

Red lights flashing

The term to google is waste pad counter or protection counter, there are loads of sites and discussions on the subject. what has likely happened is the charging of the new ink cartridges has pushed the counter over the brink.
