Question about Saeco Incanto Sirius Fully Automatic Coffee Maker Stainless/Black

1 Answer

Water does not dispense from the arm, instead it drips into the plastic drip tray (I have cleaned the steam wand and there is no clog). Coffee can be made, and is hot, but instead of filing up my cup fully, 1/4 of the water now goes into the plastic drip tray. I also do not get steam from the wand. Any idea what the issue may be or how to repair it?

Hi, thanks for the reply, but this didnt help much. I had already descaled the machine, and unfortunately the problem continued. Second, unless I'm familair with the parts needed for repair, the Cerini part list & assembly does me little good.

What I can add is that after the machinge goes through a cleaning rinse, I've pull out the brewing unit and noticed that water is coming out of the white spount with the 2 orange o-rings.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

The orange o-rings actully look OK. I've lunricated them regularly and they don't show any signs of wear & tear - no cracks. Is it still possible that they may be causing the leak?

Hi vette1900,

First, have you descaled your machine?

If you have, you may have either a clog further in from the wand or one of the seals or the valve is leaking.

Sorry to say, Saeco does not make their coffee machines to be user friendly when it comes to repairs.

If you want to attempt checking further into your machine, here is a webpage with a parts breakdown for you to see: >>>> http://www.cerinicoffee.com/custompages/Diagrams/Saeco_Parts_Diagrams/Fully_Automatic/incantosirius-SUP021YADR.pdf
You can disassemble the steam wand and pull it out to look for a blockage or leaking O-rings or valve. If you need a new valve, parts guru has them along with installation instructions: >>>> http://www.partsguru.com/MaintenanceofEspressomachines.html
If you do not have a repair facility near you, partsguru.com can repair it for you. Here is there repair site: >>>> http://www.partsguru.com/default.html
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Ok, if you cleaned those tubes thoroughly, then I imagine the O-rings are leaking. Before you put new O-rings in (than can be gotten at any hardware store or auto parts place), try putting a touch of vegetable oil on them to get them to seat when you put it back together. If that doesn't work, then replace the O-rings.

    Good luck to you,

    Hi vette,

Can you see #74 on the diagram I gave you? This is the seal for the wand. This is what I think may be bad and need replacing.

And, yes, O-rings are compressed in order to provide a seal. After time, they stay squashed and lose their resiliency.

If you want to replace the seal, #74, I will provide you with a website that sells them. I just found out Cerini Coffee is out of them..... Need to find another place that has one.

    Please check back,

    Thanks,

    Handie Andie

Well, I've been searching the internet and can't find anyone who carries the part. I think your best bet would be to send it in for service.

So many of the websites don't carry the part that I'm not sure who to send you to. You could try contacting the people at this website: >>>>http://espressocare.com/serviceHomeUnits... <<<< or you could contact Saeco at www.saeco.com

I imagine Saeco would charge more.

    Good luck to you!

Starbucks Saeco Italia Digital Barista Fully Automatic Coffee Machine will not prime!

Here is what is said in the manual:

"Direct the steam arm on the drip tray.
Open the steam/hot water knob until a
steady stream of water is dispensed. Close
the knob. Insert the filter holder into the
brew head to pre-heat the filter holder.
The machine is now ready to dispense
coffee."

Delonghi Magnifica My steam arm drips when I make coffee.

I initially replaced the o-rings in the pipe/valve assembly. It didn't work for long (not correct size o-rings probably). I then bought a new pipe-valve unit. To replace you need to pry off the stream handle (chromed plastic). It only fits one way on the axle (so take notice when replacing!). Then remove back and side covers (6 screws all at the back). Then remove top (2 screws each side at the front and a couple at the back). Then the front panel should be lose. (Instructions based on a slightly different model)

Mine made better coffee after I fixed the leak! A large portion (perhaps 25%) of the water intended for the coffee went via the steam wand straight into the drip tray, which is not good.

Hi, sounds like either you have a blocked or fauly solenoid, or micro switch or the water inlet side of the boiler is bocked. This is easy to fix. You need to be able to get to the inlet on the boiler, undo the water line and drill it out using a 3mm drill bit. Dazza

Hi
Check the drain behind the brew unit. There is a pocket below the injector that can plug up and cause water to drain under the drip tray. Check this first. Stick you finger in the pocket and see if there is water in it. If there is, the drain below and to the right is plugged and just needs to be cleaned.

When the machine is done brewing some water is relieved into the drip tray. This is the pressure relief. Some coffee residue is also taken into the drip tray. This is normal. As long as nothing is under the machine your OK.

Sounds like the steam wand is getting blocked some where either at the metal end or in the parnello wand if you machine has one at the end of the steam wand, if both of those are clean then try this push in on the steam knob if that works then tap rod assemble or steam valve needs to be replaced, make sure to ask about the stainless steel valve instead of the plastic one.
