My Frigidaire wall oven made a sound like an exploding light bulb, you know when a hot light bulb gets water on it and it pops, and stopped working. It was set at 350 and had been on the timer but I was busy and couldn't get to it. The timer went off 2 maybe 3 times and then there was the pop, when I got to the kitchen the oven was dark and off. Any clues as to what went wrong? I thought it may have been a fuse but I see it doesn't have one.

Check the clock knobs the older style you had to push in to auto time them make sure the times are on the same time (stop&start) and the buttons are popped out to engage the upper oven if so post the complete Model # and i will get the manual for you

first is unplug the the oven from the wall outlet, to hard reset the setting. wait for almost 20 minutes then plug it again.

The clock control has a relay that turns on the element. It could be failed and would require a new clock control.

Ok , classic example of a fan oven element blowing, take the cover off inside the cooker held on by 4 screws so you can see the round element, you should be able to see where its blown a big hole.
replace element
( make the cooker is turned off of course)

Thermador double oven, in Montreal Quebec. Similar problem with the display fading out. Thermador should step up to the plate or be obliged to through legal action.
