Question about Cell Phones
This could be the headset, or the base. It's probably a cracked trace on the main circuit board in the headset, from having been possibly dropped. about all you can do to try to fix it is take it apart and see if a trace or solder joint, or other damage has occurred. Sometimes, it's a cracked trace, in which case you can resolder it, and be good to go. Any other problems are too hard to isolate, and therefore the unit has to be replaced. Check on ebay, and see if they have the same model, or check Thrift Stores and Goodwll stores.
Oh, one other thing...clean all of the battery contacts with a qtip and alcohol...oxidation occurs, and can create strange problems.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
