Try setting your router to another channel, like 11. Cordless land line phones (large range up to 1/2 mile!!) use the same channel, even your neighbors can affect your router.

Check the connection type is not "Connect on Demand".
Check the Idle Time Out setting is not used.
This specifies the amount of time the router waits before shutting down an idle connection. This option is only available when "Connect on Demand" is selected. See the manual
