Hi,
After reset you have to configure the router for internet setting.

Type the url 192.168.1.1
It will ask for user id and password. Keep user id blank and type password as admin.
It will open your router setting. Configure your setting.

Thanks for using FixYa.

What is Limited Connectivity and how do I stop it??

Usually it means an issue with the router or modem and happens here--computer will with wireless show connected but limited connectivity--this depends on where you are or who your provider is= out here our solution is to from time to time reset the router (unplug it for a minute and plug it back) or call the provider to check things remotely.

Stopping it is a different issue---if using the phone line with a modem and a two wire system this kind of problem is endemic.

Cable systems for signal rarely have this issue but anything using the phone for DSL is prone to this.

Sometimes if reset the router does not work it is the provider having a problem or too many users on a limited line---

If you are getting the "limited or no connectivity" message you may not be getting a good IP address from your router. The link below will help you reset your IP address.

Wireless router not working all of the sudden

Reset your router, it would enable you to connect
On the back of your router there is a little black reset button. Use a pen or paper clip and press down for 10 seconds. Make sure the lights on the router stop blinking for one second. Release the button and make sure to reset your wireless security and network ID.
If that doesn't work just unplug your routers power cord. This is the easiest way to reset your internet connection without resetting your router to factory settings.
If neither of those work, unplug the power cord of your modem. This will completely reset the internet connection without resetting the routers settings.

Internet says limited no connectivity when i plug my computer to wireless router through ethernet. am i doing something wrong?

Hi,

Limited or no connectivity means that the computer is not recieving an IP address from the DHCP of the router. The very first thing I will suggest is to reset the router.

Press the reset hole on the back of the router for 10 seconds while it is powered on. Turn it off and then turn it back on after releasing the reset hole. The computer should show the connection as connected after that. However, you will have to reconfigure the router as resetting will revert it back to default settings.

Good Luck

Trouble reconfiguring WGR614 v5 after reset

Dear Koteshst

Is it the router that's showing 'Limitted and no connectivity' or the PC trying to connect to the router? If it's the latter make sure that the router is configured to assign IP addresses via DHCP and that your WEP/WPA keys match on both sides. If it's the former check your authentication info for SBC.

Let me know.
