Question about Car Audio & Video

I bought a car stereo sony xplod in Canada and i instaled it in my car in portugal but when i try to setup the radio stations it only works fine with the odd number ones. There is a radio station here that is 103.2 but with this car stereo or i setup 103.1 or 103.3 which doesn't work ok. is there any way to put the stereo to work with odd and even numbers? Unfortunately there is no way of making that station work. The radio only skips from .1, .3, .5,.7,and .9. Hope this helps, James Booth

I'd hate to say, but sounds like part of your tuner is going out/bad solder join/heat sensitive. Hope it isnt to old. Might call the manufacturer and see what they have to say.

Sony XPLOD CDX-GT200 CD Player keeps going back to demo mode


This is happeneing because the stereo does not have a battery power connections. The yellow wire is for a constant 12 volt connection. This connection is for the stereo's memory.

the yellow wire on the radio harness needs to have a constant 12v power supply and the red wire needs a switched 12v supply and that should solve your problem

Storing memory on the sony xplode stereo


Make sure the yellow 12V Constant is connected to a wire with a direct connection to the battery. This retains your memory.
