If you didn't reset the rollout switch, the air will not work. The rollout switches are in the furnace burner secton. Look at the burners, the rollout switch(es) are just above the burner. They will have a button on top to push for reset. These rollout switches will generally have two wires going to them.

Bad condenser unit GOODMAN

it is a 3 ton condensor you still can buy r22 freon condensors new but they have nitrogen charge and its expensive to charge I recommend to go with 3 ton goodman condensor which is new 410a puron and also change indoor coil and flush the line set so you dont endure the high cost of new copper lines these new systems come with 10 years warranty and the r22 systems come with only five years

I had a power surge on my 15 year old HVAC residential Trane Unit. I can either have my insurance repair it or I can pay the difference to replace. I do have coverage to pay for Alabama state building...

13 seer minimum for new installs. I have seen ratings as high as 18 or more on
some units (410A systems)
I recently replaced my system with a 13 seer R22 system, since they are
more easily serviced and I am very familiar with them. Given the average lifespan of
a system before major service is around 10 years depending on model.
I have worked on Trane, Carrier, Intertherm and Goodman units and prefer the Goodman
units, as they seem to be much quieter running and are built in America.

What should be the correct supply and discharge temperature of a goodman hvac

Depending on the temperature & humidity level in your house, the temperature difference of the air entering your air handler and the air blown into your house should be in the 16 - 21 degF range. The temperature difference of the air entering your condensing unit and the air leaving your condensing unit should be between 25 - 30 degrees, with 30 degrees being for older model units. Anything above 30 requires cleaning.

Goodman GMPH075-4 Heater with new louder noise & strange smell

The burning smell could be anything inside the furnace blower compartment. Most all the controls are located there. Me not being there is it hard to say what it it and what to replace. I would start by removing blower compartment cover and inspecting the wires and controls. Look for any bad connections. If it was transformer it would have already burnt up. Goodman has a fuse on there controlls in case of shorts, Limit controls in case of unit over heating. If you cannot visably see anything wrong it would be a good idea to call a service tech to check heat exchanger. I would have it checked anyway. James

My brand new HVAC unit is not able to maintain the heat in the house. The unit itself seems to be running fine but there was an accumulation of snow and ice on the fan unit. When I knocked all the snow and...

i hope the air condition is feet to your home ,if u have ceiling tall
the heat will stay high point ,and the air condtion will be on most of the time. if not
and the mode is heat
firrst:

clean the filter in evaporator (out side the house).
check and see if the engine of the evporator work and runing.
without wibrtion.
but the main reason is most unit hvac are not inverter,
so that mean if the tempratore out side is beneed to 5 degree Celsius (most of the time night) the unit will be frozen.
60 degrees f = 14 degrees c
you can defrost the buy chnge to mode cool.
other cohice ic to check the dieicer if u have it.

Goodman Model CK60-1C with White Rogers mercury tube thermostat

The contactor on the outside unit is sticking and must be replaced. The inside unit cycles off and the outside continues to run causing the refrigerant lines to freeze up.

Goodman unit freezing outside the unit

Its not the thermostat.

The things that can cause this problem are lack of or poor airflow over the Evaporator coil. Or a low system charge. Or quite possibly a restriction in the line on the low side. When they replaced the compressor did they purge the line set with nitrogen and pull a deep vaccum? This is imperative when replacing a condensing unit to ensure that no residual particles are left in the line set to create a restriction.

Hope this helps You

Goodman ac / heat pump

I just had a new unit installed and I am surfing for troubleshooting tips too. My unit is doing the same... cools well heat sucks. my problem has been isolated down to the reversing valve... It is constantly energised which means it is constantly in a/c mode even when kicking on the heat strips... We disconnected a line at the thermostat and it is working well as a heater now. You may want to check yours to see if it is actually kicking over into to heat mode... -rob
