Quick release can be fitted to any bike - all you need is to fit hollow axle first.

When you tighten the quick-release skewer, the two sides of the fork will be pushed inwards over the axle. So basically, just tighten it up & it should be just fine. If not- take it back to the store you got it from!

Old schwinn 10 speed rear wheel removal how

Release rear brake, either will have a lever on brake assembly or remove a brake shoe, shift to the smallest gear in rear, then loosen with a #15 metric box wrench, then push the wheel out. All bikes are metric, not just Schwinn. Then reverse to reinstall.

Can I fold the schwinn trailblazer without removing the rear wheels and if so how do i do it?

you do have a quick release don't you? Why not just take the wheels off, it is made to do that. Very simple to do and makes it very portable. you can't break it.

Does this bike have quick release for the wheels?

If one side of the axle holder has a lever about 2" long it is quick release.
If it has nuts that require a spanner it is not quick release

No Rear Quick Release

Some less expensive bikes do not come with quick release skewers. You just unscrew the bolts like you would any other using a wrench or socket. The will probably be really tight so you may need to bear down or use a cheater pipe. Unfortunately, these bolt on wheels tend to be solid axles and cannot take a quick release skewer. You would need to replace the wheel.

I have a Schwinn Adventurer ladies bicycle and dismantled the bike last winter to place in my garden shed. I can't find my manual and my son says that something is missing to attach the back wheel onto...

Not without understanding what is missing.

My guess is the Quick-Release skewer for the rear wheel is missing. There is never any reason to actually remove the device from the wheel.

If it's more complicated can't you just take it to a bike shop and ask a mechanic?

Men?s Schwinn 700C Prelude Road Bike Assembly

Pedals can be purchased in pairs and some road bikes do not come with pedals. They have 2 different axle sizes 9/16" and 1/2". There are road pedals and road clipless pedals. The ones with clips and quick bindings require special biking shoes that the cleats clip into.Quick releases come in various lengths for front and rear wheels depending on what wheel you have. This all means a trip to your local bicycle dealer. They will match the pedals to the axel size you need and the type of riding you will be doing. For a little extra cost they will install them. They will also match you up with the proper length of quick release skewer you will need and show you how to install and tighten it properly.Remember to take your bike and the front wheel. Hope this helps. Good riding.
