My zen jukebox turns off then on and I just replaced and charged a new battery
I had not used my Creative Zen Xtra Nomad Jukebox 30GB for about a year or two. I tried charging it and turning it on but the battery was completely dead. I knew this because it worked when it was plugged into a wall outlet. So I proceeded to purchase a new battery and I fully charged it while the unit was off and plugged into the wall. Now my problem is that when it is running on battery power it shuts off then turns on then shuts off and turns on automatically. The other day it did that at least 10 times before I just gave up. I'm frustrated, I'm thinking of returning the new battery and just getting an ipod. Any answers, please HELP?!?!

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click agree. This will start the download. Then run the program on your computer and you should be able to manage your Zen with this software. Let me know if it works.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
LCD is soldered onto the board. Meaning the difficulties of replacing
the LCD will be there, not to say it would not be possible. But for
about the same price (my guess by looking on ebay), you could get a
used Zen Xtra (without a hdd) for about $30 or less. After you get a
new board you could replace your player with the new used one, making
use of your old hdd
