The P5 connector is the long, thin connector on your power supply.

Hi,

This is a very, very old motherboard.

I should be very surprised if HP still supported it.

Under the cover that you lift off to see the motherboard. Otherwise, go to HP.com and type your model in - you can get all the documentation from them, for free.

ATX power supply compatible with my EVO D500 Motherboard

Hello,

If your motherboard is wtx connection , pretty sure that there are 2 ports in it. the 24 pins and the 22pin. so maybe you need a WTX power supply which is availbale today. this is tha example (http://images.google.com.ph/imgres?imgurl=http://www.acmemicro.com/estore/prodimg/PS-ZP-T6460.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.acmemicro.com/estore/merchant.ihtml%3Fpid%3D840%26lastcatid%3D59%26step%3D4&usg=__Ox5OtEG9zc7AqUAus-hrVrOEvyA=&h=180&w=180&sz=8&hl=tl&start=1&tbnid=yrGwUf_iyMZMxM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=101&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dwtx%2Bpower%2Bsupply%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Dtl%26sa%3DG)

maybe you can find a PSU for your stuff in that link.

may this help,

Where do all the leads go?

Hi there! I got given one of these MoBo's and, in a mad fit of generousity, told my daughter that I'd build her a PC for college using it! I found the MoBo tech reference guide on this page- http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&lang=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179911&taskId=115&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=96277 It's near the bottom of the page, with the text "Technical Reference Guide for Compaq Evo D300/D500 Personal Computers and W4000 Workstations Featuring Intel Pentium 4 Processors and the 845 Chipset" on the button! You will need page 6-11 for the Pin-Out details of the P5 connector. Hope that helps you out Wolfie
