No corona wire is there on this model, you can find one saw teeth like portion inside the main charger it serves the purpose of corona wire you can find the charger assembly on the drum unit, you try to clean the charger assembly by washing it and drying it buy the sun light, better to replace the maincharger, drum, cleaning blade, and developer together. When you run a copy it leaves a couple thick dark lines on the paper that you copied too.

If you lighten the exposure do the lines fade away ? It most likly needs a drum or a drum cleaning blade. Good luck.

Our Sharp AR-160 copy machine is 5 yrs old. We have had to have continued maintenance, most recently the "developer" was replaced and our copies still come out faded. How long should we expect...

Hi,
Did they clean the laser unit?

You can play with bias to raise the copy darkness.

For start you can open the front door and right side way door, remove drum unit, and you will be able to see long glass above drum unit. clean it with the dry wipe or wet one but be sure to dry it.

By my experience it is a good low maintenance copier... if the preventive maintenance is carried out correctly, every 60 000 copies more or less.

Hope that helps!

My ar275 copier has a problem with the developer unit. the developer leaks out when the machine is working. what is the remedy

The corona in the drum unit might be dirty which causes an arc that pulls the developer out, Take drum unit out and there are 2 black tabs with a screw in them, Remove the two screws and remove the corona and clean. Be very carefull not to scratch or touch the drum.

The paper keeps jamming in my konica photocopier and the following message appears F28 3 Contact service department

F28 High voltage leak. (coronas)

The corona wires are arcing, it is located directly under the drum a unit with three thin wires. the end blocks go bad and it arcs causing jams and copy quality problems, replace the corona ***'y.

Other cause may be the High voltage unit for the coronas itself
