To connect to the Internet you need a few extra things aswell as a network card.
1. You need to sign up with an Internet service provider.
2. Connect a LAN cable from your computer to the DSL or cable modem
3. You need a DSL or cable modem and connect and configure the modem to inaccordance with your Internet service provider's instructions.
4. Install Internet Explorer if it has not been done.
5. If everything has been done correctly, when you open Internet Explorer youcan access the Internet. If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then -
To connect to yourwireless router, the router needs its wireless settings to be configuredwith the SSID, encryption key etc., also the wireless cards in all thelaptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

My iPad was "reset all setting" and now it only display an usb cable and draws an arrow to the word itunes. It is iPad 16 GB Model A1396, FCC ID: BCGA 1396 and IC: 597C-A1396 How to return it normal?

It is telling you to connect it to your PC or laptop where you have iTunes installed. If you don't already have iTunes installed in your computer, you will need to download and install the iTunes software to it. When your iPad is connected, iTunes will synch and update it if you managed to erase the O/S or other necessary items. iTunes connected via the USB cable is even able to install or update the tablet's operating system. It's not just for music.

Your laptop or desktop will need to be connected to the Internet in order to download updated or original operating system. Just follow the prompts.

When i connect my tablet to my laptop it will not show the drive so i cant send any files ect from my pc to the tablet.

If it's an android tablet you might have to set it as a media device or to USB mode in order for a Windows laptop, at least, to *see* the internal or external SD card in the external SD card slot. You said you can't see the drive so I'm guessing you mean the internal drive. In Windows file manager you should be able to see some of the unprotected folders and files but you won't see many and you probably can't mess with them but once you see the drive you should be able to create a music folder and a photo folder and a video folder, etc and you should be able to copy files to those folders. Depending on your android O/S version selecting the USB connection as a media device might be on the left side slide down menu or you might have to use the regular Settings app and touch the three
dots on the upper right and see if it says USB Mode.

Or, it could be you need USB drivers. Plug in your android device and then open Device Manager. You should see the device listed. Right click it and select *Properties* . This should give you an option to look for and install device drivers. Be connected to the Internet and let Windows browse the internet to look for the drivers. If it finds them it will automatically install them and configure the device so you can transfer files.

Good luck. I hope some of this applies as you didn't really provide enough details to make it anything but a guess.

It says that I have internet but cant get on the internet

Do you try to connect to the Internet when at home or away from home ? At home, you need to have a wireless (WiFi) network to connect your tablet to and then access the Internet from your tablet. Away from home you need to find an OPEN WiFi network (usually in public places such as coffee shops, bookstores, etc) to connect to. Or you can get an USB mobile/cellular modem from your cellular provider to attach to the USB port on your tablet and access the Internet at home and/or away from home (this option will cost you money). You also need to install on your tablet apps that will access the Internet (browsers, Pandora, Youtube, etc.).

You will have to open up your network connections Click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark ! ? you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled. Make sure your antivirus program is not blocking the internet connection. The driver might be on the disc supplied by your ISP internet service provider or the motherboard disc You only need to check the BIOS if you cant install the driver Make sure you Ethernet/internet is enabled in bios restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys navigate to integrated peripherals look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter scroll to SiS 10/100m press enter make sure its "Enabled"ima Click start type cmd press enter you will be in DOS mode type in ipconfig press enter you will see all of your internet connection details type in your default gateway adress into your internet search should read something like 10.0.0.138 or you could download one cnetdownload.com on the homepage you will see a search bar type in the ethernet controller freeware you want/need Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC http://download.cnet.com/realtek-rtl8168-8111-pci/3000-2112_4-99235.html http://download.cnet.com/network-drivers/3150-2112_4-0-1-4.html i device arrows key scroll to nstalled.

Can not get to wifi

Wi-Fi technology enables wireless Internet and network access through public and private hot spots.

These hot spots are widely located in homes, restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops and other businesses, so you can keep connected wherever you may travel.

To connect to Wi-Fi, you must have an enabled wireless adapter on your computer.

Most modern laptops and many desktops have this adapter built into the system, but many lack such capabilities.

However, a wireless adapter is easily installed via USB, which allows you to connect to available networks through Windows 7.

Enable your wireless adapter. Most laptops have a hot key labeled with a radio antenna.

Hold the "Fn" key and press this key to toggle wireless on or off.

Desktops likely have a physical antenna on the back of your computer that is typically always on. If you don't see such a hot key or antenna, you need to acquire a USB wireless adapter.

Attach the USB wireless adapter to an available USB port on your computer.

Windows 7 will automatically install the necessary drivers for most adapters.

If it does not, insert the CD that came with the USB wireless adapter into your drive and choose to install their drivers.

Restart your computer if you do not see a wireless icon in your Windows 7 notification area.

Click the wireless icon in the Windows 7 notification area and click the network name to which you want to connect.

If this is your home network, the correct network will likely be the one with the strongest signal.

Click "Connect" and enter the wireless security passphrase, if required.

Only secured networks will ask for a passphrase, but some public networks will require browser authentication instead.

Open your browser and navigate to any website.

If the hot spot requires browser authentication, your website request is redirected to an information page.

Follow the instructions on this page to get Wi-Fi.

This may entail clicking "Accept," entering a given password or entering a cell phone number.

After authentication, attempt your website again to verify accessibility.

Hope this helps

My Toshiba r15-s822 isn't connecting to a wireless network and the router I already installed the router to my pc even connected an internet cable to it but Internet Explorer wont open it keeps...

Try connecting to the Internet through the ethernet port (via a cable). If Internet Explorer loads the target page then you have a configuration problem with WI-Fi access : The wireless security settings are not allowing the computer to access the Internet.
If Internet Explorer does not connect with the cable then the problem resides with Internet Explorer. Try to reset the defaults. To confirm that download FireFox and use it. Besides you need two browsers just in case one acts up.

I changed the operating system now i have windows 7 on the compaq tc1100 and now i can not use the wireless how can i fix this??

Access the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?lang=en&cc=ca&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=376810&lang=en&cc=ca

and you'll see that no device-drivers for Windows 7 are available from HP.

This might mean that HP has submitted the device-drivers for your wireless adapter to Microsoft.
If so, try: http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com and do a search for "optional hardware updates".
If there is a device-driver, Windows Update will offer it for downloading/installing.
