Rubbing as in its grinding or just a like its in motion its normal to hear some type of rubbing as the platter spins because if u notice when u push down on the platter it has some play you can clean the inside by removig the platter and cleaning and dirt and dust

Just check the connections to the cartridge on the Stanton. Make certain they fit and are correctly fitted. Also check or replace the stylus, if it is not new.

2003 camry with 200,000 miles has rubbing noise not the brakes wondering if a cv joint or u joint problem

If you have a rubbing noise on the BRAKES then its most likely the pads worn out and touching the metal backing plate ,other wise it could be the wheel bearing worn or coming loose but the CV Joint if worn will make a clanking noise when turned on full lock either Left or Right.
So jack it up at the front and check the wheel bearings and turn the wheel to see if the noise is there as it will be a metal to metal noise ,but if pads are good then it will just be a soft rubbing noise.

Rubbing/grinding noise

Usually the strut bearing will make this noise upon turning a corner and hitting a rut or pot hole when turning. A wheel bearing will make a low pitched whinning sound constantly

Noise coming from front of car

It sounds exactly like a wheel bearing problem. The right side its seems would be the problem. When you turn right it puts more pressure on the bad bearing making it louder. I would suggest replacing both. If on is gone the other one isn't far off. Hope this helps
