Hi

Check to see if the power is connected to the treadmill. Go to the power outlet and make sure the entire power cord is not ripped or broken. Trace the power cord to your treadmill and see if the power cord is connected to the treadmill console.

Unplug the power cord. If the power cord is connected well, you should unplug the treadmill for the time being as you examine the rest of the console without risking electric shock.

Clean off your console with a slightly wet rag. A simple problem is to see if there are dirt particles blocking the buttons and controls on your console. The rag should wipe off any dirt from the console.

Re-plug the treadmill. Press all the buttons on the console. If it still does not work, unplug the power line again.Use a screwdriver to unbolt the console cover from the rest of the treadmill. The amount of bolts that connect the console to your treadmill varies.

Remove the top part of the treadmill console by unscrewing the bolts that hold the console together.

Investigate to see if all the circuits are connected and that no apparent damages can be seen.

Contact the manufacturer. If you cannot figure out why the treadmill console is not working properly, you will need to contact your treadmill manufacturer.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

Computer on my Schwinn Eliptical 418/428 keeps giving me an Error 1- Any ideas what this means.

jlo621-

An "Error 1" message is a generic electrical error code. This error code usually means one of several things: 1) the AC adapter needs replacing, 2) the wires connecting the power to the console need replacing, or 3) the console itself needs replacing. If the console has batteries, start by changing those. If this does not solve the problem, then check the AC adapter. If the problem persists, you're looking at a problem that might warrant the attention of a repair technician.

Hope this helps.

My wii was working a few days ago then I tried to turn it on today and it will not come on. I tried plugging it in to different outlets but it still will not come on. No lights will come on either.

hello,
One of two common possible problems. Either 1) Your AC adapter needs to be reset or 2) Your AC Adapter is bad.

Most power issues with the Wii can be fixed by resetting the AC adapter. You can easily reset the AC adapter by following these steps:
Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

The AC adapter must remain unplugged at both ends for a full 2 minutes.

After you've waited 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter into the Wii system and directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector or power strip. If the power light comes on and stays on, then it appears resetting the AC Adapter worked.

Try to find someone with a Wii.. not that hard everyone has one. See if they will let you use the power cord.
test the cord and if that doesn't you know its inside the Wii.
Then, their are fuses inside the console one of them my have blown. You need a special screw driver.
Hope this will help..

If it's not working, you can get a *new* NINTENDO brand AC adapter at the following page. Beware of cheaper knockoffs around the internet.

The wii was unplugged inadvertantly, once plugged back in it won't turn on...red light does not come on...what are the possible reasons ...cable had gone out earlier in day and had to reboot

You most likely need to reset the AC adapter.

This is a common problem with the Wii. Even if it's hooked up to a surge protector. If there was a power surge, or the power went out, etc...anything, this will happen. You plug it back in, the power comes on, but it appears dead. The problem is with the AC adapter, not the Wii itself.

There is a circuit inside the AC adapter that needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surge protector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at the outlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it from the wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10 minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuit time to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 5 or 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up, and it should work.
