Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Our Canon IPF 8100 printer doesn't print anymore. On the display it constantly says 'saving' and the yellow light that says DATA keeps blinking. Every once in a while it starts printing but finishes after 10 cm. I tried to do a test-print and that came out fine, but sending a print from the computer gives the problem. We are working with windows and in the print-task-screen it gives an error as well. If I try to print a file of 14,3 mb it stops at 64 kb. Unfortunately there is no manual present, so I can't check what the blinking DATA-light means. I tried shutting it down and turning it on again, but again: no luck. Do you have any idea what the problem can be? Could it be that the harddisk is full and if so, can I check that somewhere or is there a way to clean up the harddisk? Please help me out, cause we need some prints.

My Canon IPF 5100 printer black ink is really fuzzy, I have to prit dark grey as I can't read the black. I have cleaned the heads and done nozzle checks, what else could it be?

If prints are coming out fuzzy this is likely to be an alignment issue. I would recommend doing some alignment tests from your printer/printer software.

The printer is recognising that the Yellow is full but when I print out a test page the yellow doesn't print. Is this a printer or cartridge issue?

Hello,
try to do deep head cleaning, few times. If this doesn't helps you need to remove the ink's and print head and bottom of print head ( where are ink nozzles ) few times press on wet cloath.

Then repeat the deep cleaning.

I had to disconect the printer to move it I've conected it all back up it has power but the computer keeps telling me it's offline. Help please, Ive run my trouble shooter and it is telling me that...

Use Print Flush 1.3 to fix it:

Fix your printer with this small utility!

Has your printer quit working? Did you try to cancel a job and it broke the printer completely? I always do that. And the method to fix it usually involves rebooting, restarting the print spooler, trashing junk print files, and sometimes even more. Not anymore.

Print Flush has a simple function: clean the print spool. If your printer's driver is incorrectly installed, Print Flush cannot help you. If you have used your printer before and it worked fine then, but it doesn't now, Print Flush can probably help you.

It also works with Vista.

  1. Save somewhere where you can find it.
  2. If you downloaded the zipped version... Unzip the file to the desktop or something
  3. Double-click the file
  4. Try printing again!

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Error code E141-4046

Hi we have a big problem with our Canon IPF 8100 printer. We use it since 1, 1 and 1/2 years. We print 2500 A1 pages every week.
Today the following error appeared:
Error E141-4046
Call for service
We read another post about IPF 5000 and it was written, that it is a page count error.
We entered Service Mode but we don't know what and how to reset.
P.S. the problem is that it's Sunday in our country and none of the service companies work. We have a lot of copies to print.

Please help. And thanks.

Canon ipf 8000 print head problems

You need to boot the printer into service mode.

Hold down the roll/source button and the info button while you are powering on the machine.

This should get you booted into the service menu where you can then access the replace printhead function

When you have successfully replaced the printhead, reboot the printer to get out of service mode,

You may also want to check the firmware version of your printer and update it.

Updates can be found on the Canon website

IPF will not print from PosterJet

in order to find out what is going on you have to print direct from the windows printer driver (print a test page) and come back.
