If the unit is new, am sure it came with some kind of warranty, why not utilise it, if not what are the messages it's displaying? doe's it load the operating system (windows) before it goes off?

The color wheels will never fix an issue like that. The only things that will cause that issue is a bad DMD board which is part of the light engine or the digital board which is not. Freak Squad need to replace the digital board.

My aspire one laptop will turn on but after the blue screen it turns completely BLACK and i can only see the mouse????? HELP

Theres a few things you can do, just try taking the battery out an leaving it out...or in a more "worse" scenareo this could be a case that your screen has burned up from being left on for to long, exposed to water..anything on the lines of that. What I suggest doing is taking it to best buy an talking to Geek Squad about it.

My screen on my dell inspiron 1525 goes dim after a few short minutes and while its in use...do i need to replace the whole screen or just a light or what?

you can try adjusting the screen brightness manually by pressing the blue FN key plus the up/down arrow keys. brighter is FN+UP ARROW. if you have a program called quickset open that and there should be an option under power options/settings. if neither of those solutions fixes the problem then the problem is the screen. a geek squad (1-800-geek-squad) will repair or replace the screen for you. thank you for using fixya!

Hi

Base in your complaint, you have defective Ribbon Wire thats connected to the LCD to Mother board..

Or you have loosed contact to Pin Ribbon Wire that needs to re solder..

Thanks!
