I am not exactly sure which model you have. The following link is for upright models:

http://canada.bissell.com/Products/c/uprightdeepcleaner/Category.aspx

Select your model, click on the icon and when the page opens up click on the tab for Accessories/Parts.

If you do not see the parts you require I would recommend you contact Bissell via their Customer Support:

Here is a link to the user manual which has a list of parts by number and the customer service telephone number and address to order them. It has pictures and a schematic which may help with replacing your part.

I believe that the parts are still available and can be ordered direct from the manufacturer.

I am so sorry! I gave you a link to the manual with the parts list and apparently you have already contacted Bissell and they say the parts are not available. I understand why you reposted your question.

I can do better. Here is a link to the part that you need, in stock and the price is $8.05 (American Dollar) at Vac Parts Warehouse.

    http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com/SearchR...

You will find it towards the bottom of the page. I double checked to make sure the ad was current. If something goes wrong and you are not able to purchase the part from this website, I have two others who also carry it in stock. Please reply if this is the case and I will forward the links.

    Again, sorry for the missunderstanding.

    P.S.

I just gave you a link to the push rod and the price was $8.05 (American dollars). Here is the same part (in stock) for $ 3.08 (American Dollars). it has a 1 to 2 week lead time before shipping. Please try the link below.

the side that is dragging needs the roller that the brushes are on ,to be precisly pushed back up in it's place,it will take a few minutes and it will not slide back in place easily just use a little force as for the hose diagram, bissell.com,enter model number and go to hoses.

Bissell 1770 Quicksteamer Lightweight: the solution doesn't come out of the steamer

Check the valve on the tank, push it in and see if water comes out ok. Check the rod, is it going up and down when you squeeze the trigger. Sometimes it breaks and won't depress the receiver to release the water, part #2035617. Or you may have a clogged line and sometimes running a mix of water and vinegar will clean them out.

Leaking Carper Shampooer

I have an Eureka Atlantis Deep Steam Extractor and it does the same thing. It's not new but it hasn't been used much.

The manual says to "push the tank in until it snaps into place". Everything looks fine across the board so I believe this particular model is just a bad design overall.

My recomendation: Get a new carpet cleaner from Target or Wal-Mart.

Please let me know if this helps. Good luck!

I don't know how to advise you on this. The Bissell is pretty complicated when you take the hood off. Under there is a number of things that must be in place correctly to replace the hood. There is a small plastic "rod" with an "o" ring on it that controls the shampoo mixture and that has to be positioned right to replace the hood. You may have to take the machine to an experienced shop to have it re-assembled. I don't think I can tell you all the little things you have to do to re-assemble it yourself.

In regards to the elevator, there are two arms that lift the brush off the floor when the handle is put in the upright position. This is so the brush will rotate freely while you use the hose. These arms break quite easily and are available from any repair depot in a set.

You may be able to get a schematic diagram from a warranty service dealer. They have a special "dealer only" web site that they can access to get repair and parts info. Usually, they can e-mail or fax you information if you're really nice to them. Smile when you're on the phone. :)
