thank you for your response, i had already found the tech sheet and I have ohmed out the door switch and found it to be ok. the dryer will go into troubleshooting mode using the power button via 2 sec, on 2 sec off three times it then goes through the series of codes as follows

888 , C-00, U-11, U-00, C-00, n-00, :NC, :0 after all of the codes which are 3 to five secs. apart all of the lights then go out and c-00 appears for 2-3 minutes, it then goes to f-70 which is listed as no communication between machine comtrol and consol electronics. I have checked the connections between the control and electronics and I have also rung out the wires between them on my ohm meter. This unit had been taken apart before I got it and the wires between the control and console were disconnected so I believe that this code is in the memory but possibly not the current problem

Hi

It means that the thermal fuse located inside the back panel to the exhaust duct is bad and should be replaced. Before replacing you can check it for continuity, no continuity means bad fuse, if the fuse is fine then check the thermostat and thermister for continuity and replace the part that is bad. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Inside the dryer, under the top panel, should be a technical data sheet. The sheet lists the diagnostics procedures, troubleshooting advice and any error codes (audible or visual) and is located along one of the interior cabinet walls. I believe the error is related to either a door latch malfunction or thermister (heating circuitry) problem.

LTF2140ES0 washer just beeps three times, wont start

Frigidaire engineers are so smart they programmed it to beep 3 times for door lock problem, draining problem and other problems in the internal electronics and didn't bother to give the users specific info to read off the machine.

Hit "bake" or "broil" button and temp setpoint

Hi

This Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My washer says the control is locked

My dear friend this is an very common problem people do face with.

Press and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately three seconds until the "Control Locked" indicator light shuts off.

Need to know how to remove the control panel to check the fuse. Will not run, push start, beeps three times and light is not working. Please help us!

the fuses for microwaves are not normally placed on the control panel...they are in the back near the power cord...but the fact that it beeps 3 times means the fuse is ok...power is going in....most likely, the fault is one or more of the door interlock switches which arc every time you open and close the door and they corrode or wear down very badly sometimes even burn away so that there is no more contacts to come together....interlocks are cheap to buy and they just snap in place....access to them is easy...just remove the cover and look right behind where the door closes on the inside, you'll see a plastic bar on the door that when you close the door...it pushes on the interlock switches on the inside to activate the oven.......if the interlocks are ok...then you probably have a shorted magnetron....very common on any type of microwaves are these 2 parts...( the interlock switches and /or magnetrons.....it's not likely that your control panel is bad unless you physically see that something has burned on it.....good luck

Beeping driving me crazy

Ok, the first issue is the oven temp sensor. it is shorted. you will need to replace this device asap. Now, the second is is concerning the Self clean latch. it is not functioning and it is unable to be locked by the control(shorted). Use the procedure below to test this device.

1. If door latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Replace door switch.
4. Re-apply power.
5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.

2. If door not latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

Whirlpool Duet front load washer won't start

The error codes it is showing don't even exist. Does the little round door latch plunger go in and out if you push it?If not, then replace the door latch. If so, you most likely have a bad machine control. Please contact me if you need further help or leave feedback if appropriate as that is how I get paid. Thanks for letting me help you!

First time use, not working

The door switch is not closed or the board is not sensing the door is closed.
Push in at the top of the door to make sure it is latched at the top.
This is a common problem on the HE4's that was not a problem with the HE3's. We are hearing from Kenmore and Whirlpool that a fix is coming, a different latch I think.
Even if pushing in at the top makes it work, call for service so the problem can be addressed.
Post back if you have any questions.
