Hose drains are fairly standard you should be able to pick one up at any hardware store . The Lows, Home Depot and Ace carry them where I live.

CHANGE DRAIN PUMP WASHER

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Belt, Water Pump If the washer won't drain the pump belt might have broken or might have worn out. Check the belt and replace if it shows signs of excessive wear.

Clogged Pump or Hose If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing. Keep in mind that any water in the washer will pour out of the hoses when removed.

Drain Pump If the washer won't drain water the drain pump might be defective. It's also common for a small sock or other article of clothing to get caught in the drain pump or in the drain hose. Check both for an obstruction before replacing the pump.

Drive Belt If the washer won't drain, should check the drive belt. If the belt is broken or if it isn't tight on the pulleys the washer won't drain properly, if at all.

Lid Switch Assembly If the washer won't drain the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer won't drain the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Drain Hose If the washer won't drain water check the drain hose. Be sure the hose did not get kinked behind the washer. Also, remove the hose from the pump and check it for obstructions.

Coin Trap If the washer won't drain the coin trap may be clogged. This washer is equipped with a device near the water pump called a coin trap. The purpose of this device is to trap any foreign materials that make their way down the drain. Normally, the coin trap can be accessed through an access panel. It is designed with the homeowner in mind and is normally easy to clean out.

Washer stoped and did not finish rinse cycle now it makes a humming sound and code nd

Washer Error Codes ND IS -No Drain There could be two problems...The drain could be clogged, or the water pump could be bad. Or the belt that runs the pump is sliping or broken
  1. Unplug the washer from the electric outlet.
  2. 3Open the case, and disconnect the water hose from the outlet of the water pump.
  3. 4If you get water pouring out from the pump, then plug that up and check the hose to the sewer. If that is clogged, then you have found the problem.
  4. 5Some washers have a self cleaning filter in that hose somewhere. Check that to be sure it is working properly.
  5. 6Reassemble hose from step 3.
  6. 7Plug washer back in. If it pumps out now, then you are done. If it doesn't, then the water pump is probably defective, so replace it.
  7. 8Reassemble washing machine case...you're done...

My washer stopped and shows LF. What do I do?

For Maytag top-loading washers, the LF code indicates that there is a problem with the incoming water to the washer. First check if the valves are fully open at the inlets (hot and cold). Make sure that the hoses aren't kinked.

Next turn off the incoming water valves and take off the hoses from the back of the washer. Clean the filters that are on the washer inlets. Reconnect the hoses and check for leaks. (Some hoses will seal themselves if they detect a leak; you may want to use new hoses when you reattach the hoses.)

Make sure that the incoming water pressure is above the minimum 10 psi. (I live in a rural area. When the water company has a problem with the pump, broken pipe or power outage, low water pressure can be a problem. We wait until the problem is fixed before using the washer.)

Next check if the drain hose has been put too deep into the stand pipe. If the outlet of the hose is below the water level in the washer, the water will be siphoned directly into the drain. The flow will trigger the LF error.

If none of the above solve the problem, then either the valves or the incoming water pressure sensor on the washer has a problem. You will need to replace the appropriate parts.

I hope this helps.

The washer will not complete the cycle. It will not drain and spin.

2 Unplug the washer from the electric outlet.
3 Open the case, and disconnect the water hose from the outlet of the water pump.

After about 10-30 minutes after cycle is finished there is water around and under washer

Your discharge hose is leaking. Check the hose itself, of course (for hoses), but the problem is most likely a loose connection of the discharge hose to the discharge outlet.
To inspect these items, you'll need to remove the back cover of the unit
(typically 11/32-in nutdriver), and follow the discharge hose to the discharge outlet. You may find that the hose clamp needs to be replaced, or that the
end of the hose is deteriorated, and needs to be cut off an inch shorter, and the hose clamp re-applied.

Spin cannot funtion

Hello, A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem. 2)If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place. 3)Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car, lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task. 4)Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
  • If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall.

  • Thanks.

Old admiral clothes washer leaks at front

    Troubleshooting Water Leaks

Water leaks in a washer are often difficult to trace. There are many possibilities to look for. The problem could be a loose connection, a broken hose, a cracked component, or a defective seal. It could also be a hole in the tub. If a hole in the tub is the problem, it's usually best to replace the washer.

Most leaks can be eliminated by tightening water connections and replacing deteriorated components. To stop a leak:

Step 1: Check the lid seal. If faulty, replace with a new gasket.

Step 2: Check the hoses at faucet connections. Tighten connections or replace hoses.

Step 3: Check the hoses at water valve connections. Tighten connections or replace hoses.

Step 4: Check the drain hoses. Tighten connections or replace hoses.

Step 5: Check the inlet nozzles. Tighten connections or replace nozzles.

Step 6: Check the splash guard. Tighten connections or replace.

Step 7: Check any plastic valve. Tighten connections or replace.

Step 8: Check the outlet hose to drain. Tighten connections or replace hose.

Step 9: Check the water pump, using the procedures that follow.
