I've repaired mine in on mountain a few times with super glue. Not my first choice but it does work. As for a permeant repair I would talk to K2 about the issue, I've talked with them a few times and they generally are a decent group to deal with.

I left my 6month old pb laptop on. Barge overnight a d when I woke up the next morning there was, what currys said, was an internal crack on my screen, could this happen due to overheating,my pc is only...

Wow, what a bummer. I've never heard of a laptop cracking the screen just because it was left on overnight. Did you leave it on with the Lid closed? Even if you did I would think at some point the laptop would go into sleep or hibernation mode to turn itself down to minimal power usage. Can you see where the crack is? I mean can you open your internet browser and where the crack is things are not visible? If so you surely have a crack, but i still can't believe leaving it on caused it. Anyway since curry won't help you get a quote from your local computer shops, or ask curry for a repair quote, then try the guys at http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com They will repair it and ship it back Fedex or UPS and their price will probably beat any quote including the shipping charge.

Where can I buy a SD/MMC 1GB memory card?

1GB SD cards are almost impossible to find these days. Some drugstores and supermarkets may carry them, but most department, electronics, and office-supply stores don't carry them. You should be able to buy 2GB SD cards at those places. Unless you specifically need a 1GB card, a 2GB card will work just as well.
If you're willing go buy online (and pay for the shipping), you can still find some. Here's one example.

I have a grant xl,the # on the board is PB-208AD. I plugged radio in and the the plug I used only had 2wires in it. Wasn't paying attention when I did it. Anyway, radio started to smoke.I unplugged it...

If I understand you correctly. you plged the power cable in backwards. this is called reverse polarity and normally is no big deal. Take the radio to a CB Shop and have them replace the diode. This has even happen to me so don't let it get you down. I am a Certified radio tech and even I make mistakes.. Smile and have a great day.

Recently, the wine fridge has started to make a whirrring sound that lasts around 4 or 5 seconds, then stops for around 20 or 30 seconds, then starts whirrrring again. Sounds a bit like a man moaning....

it was the internal fan in the upper rear section of the fridge. Apparently, since it is mounted so close to the rear panel, the sound seems to amplify from the back. Anyway, a replacement fan was only $3.71 direct from Danby, but I did have to pay 7.99 for shipping. Also, there is a fair amount of disassembly and re-assembly needed, which might be challenging for those who don't typically make their own repairs. Once removed, the only thing I could find wrong with our old fan was that the shaft was very loose in the unit, which may have indicated a bad bearing.

Canby may be reached at the following link:

The driver's side front window one of the brackets attached to the glass is broken how do I remove it and where can I purchase a new bracket

that would be a dealer part, if they no longer carry it then you are looking at a used part on eBay, craiglist or a local junkyard. Most likely a part common to most Chrysler products of that year.
Once you get the part, an auto glass shop is the way to go. They have the knowledge, tools, and fasteners to take it apart, fix it, and put it back together quickly and with no collateral damage. As the regulator is now over 10 years old put some thought into replacing it so as to not pay the labor again next year when it fails.

Looks like my Night Owl NOCB4 Night Vision binoculars have an intensifier tube out. Where can I have it replaced. Night Owl says they don't carry the part anymore.

Hello, Now, Night Owl Optics in El Paso, TX will repair your NV binoculars for a prices. This is what Night Owl will do for you. They don't have the parts to fix your Night Owl binoculars. They never have had parts to fix a lot of there products that they sell because the majority of them were manufactured in Russia and I really mean the whole thing. I could fix it for you but since I am on fixya.com I can used this web site for advertising my skills. Sorry.

Here what you can do, go to eBay then to search categories---sporting goods----outdoor sports----hunting----scopes, optics, lasers------night vision optics. Any of the monocular that are: Famous Trail, Night Owl Optics, Ziteh, Klanakia, Night Vision, Opel, ATN, or any of them that looks the same but with different names on them they are all manufactured in Russia. Russian has probably 15 companies that manufacture night vision devises and or parts there of. Some of these devise are good and majority are cheap but sold here in the US at a much high price. Don't pay over $50 for one plus shipping.

Buddy, this just about all I can do four. GB....stewbison

If they can't fined anything wrong with the car itself the problem might be in the sensors. IDK what kind they use in that car, but the mechanic might not have the electronic equipment to diagnose, check, or solve the problem. They may have been damaged when they fixed it, might be wear and tear, or they probably just have to be reset/ re-adjusted. Most people don't bother to fix them if that's the case cause they see it as a pointless expense if nothing is wrong with the car it's self. Another issue is replacing them. Most mechanics will opt to replace them cause it's easier and they can charge you more...then again it might be expensive for them to ship it somewhere so some one can actually fix it, and then pay them also. Most mechanics don't know much when it comes to circuitry. In ether case most people don't do anything about it and continue to use there car with all the red flags on. Ether way if it's going to brake down it will anyway and you'll still have to pay to fix it. Usually at that point people usually decide it's time for a newer car anyway and sell, donate, or junk it. If you really want to keep your car though I suggest you or some one you know to just look it over once a month and see if you can see anymore wear and terr. It's a bit obvious sometimes if there's anything physically with it. Also have a mechanic give it a thorough inspection once a year. Good Luck

I have a canon s3 15 turn the camera on the view finder blank

I would imagine a part has broken in your camera. The best advice I can say is to get it professionally serviced and don't take it apart on your own. Many times with these products when you take them apart, more damage can be done and you'll often need parts anyway. If you go to this site: www.camerasandparts.com they just service the powershots exclusively and they are amazing for servicing these cameras. They don't charge much at all with there total service packages and your specific problem is on their site. It doesn't say what the cause is but to fix it and service the camera with shipping is $89. I can tell you from experience they are wonderful for service on these Canon cameras. Hopefully you can get it working nicely again since that is a really nice camera.
