I am able to turn on cpu but the monitor is not displaying it. Power is coming, Two fans are running in C.P.U. Some times fans not work. Kindly suggest me why this happens and give the solution for it.

093aba5.jpgYou have a problem with your SMPS. Kindly send your SMPS to a repairing shop. If the guy suggests you to buy a new SMPS then there is hardly anything that u can do instead of buying a new one. I had the same problem once had to replace the SMPS as even after two repairs the SMPS wasn't working properly. There is a prob with the switching regulator for sure if your monitor works perfectly then.

CPU fan turns for a few seconds and stops, pc will not turn on. Have tried a good PSU, same issue. Removed all connection to motherboard apart from 20 pin, 4 pin power + cpu fan and PW switch: same issue.

1. First of all Remove dust from your CPU fan and try again if issue has been not resolve

2. Second test your SMPS by the help of Green & Red wire. In case fan is turning properly it mines your SMPS is ok

3. Third & last kindly replace your SMPS For the same.

Had a power outage and the computer won't come back on. Compaq Presario Desktop - SR1230NX

open CPU cabinet and give power to computer thencheck your smps is working?
it is square box where you connect power code to cpu.
If its running then it is ok.Then check for loose connection from smps to motherbord.
But if its not working then you have to change smps or repair it.
Thanks for using fixya.
Please rate solution if it helps.

AsRock Motherboard won't boot. Need Advice.

Here's the solution!

Check if NUM lock glows if tapped on the Keyboard ::

Yes - If your Power LED is blinking change the SMPS, if it is Solid, change the I/O cables or RAM or Display Adaptr - whichever you think the problem to be.

N0 - Change the board.

PS. If processor is the problem, CPU fans won't spin in the first place.

The cpu doesnt start, experts say motherboard is dead

it happens when one of the component would not give the exact dc supply to its component near to each other and its so hard to replace a chips that has been broke down. okay, try this, although its to risky but theirs no other way to test your main board if its still good. if your video card is built in, plug the external video card. if your main board accept AGP or PCI then try them one step at a time. load the memory then try booting it again. if it still has no display bring it to a service center near you ask their assistance to make a series of test to your main board. Im sure they a device to test all the IC's and the chipsets. Good Luck!

PC won't wake up.

make power on,
see the SMPS fan from back side in CPU, if its not working, mean you have problem in SMPS or in power supply cable. Try another power supply, also make sure that socket on wall is right and the current is available there.

If your SMPS is working then try to hear beep from CPU after booting, there must be a ok beep, if no beep, then it means there might be problem in your CPU.

Thanks
Iqbal
