Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I just switched from my old trusty windows 2000 pro PC to a windows XP PC my wife was using. I uninstalled all of the HP software she had for her camera and installed the software for the all in one, but I have NO scanning feature.. Help me, this is something I use often and the software has OCR capabilities which I need.. Thanks
You need to download a new driver from www.hp.com/downloads
for XP for your scanner. Make sure when you download it you have all running proggys turned off including your firewall or it may not download correctly.
Download it to your desktop, it will be an exe file
Turn off the machine and unplug it
then click on the exe file to install
follow the instructions carefully and if has not told you to reconnect your printer when it is finished, do so and restart your computer.
