Question about Uniden Cordless Phone

We have a 3+1 Uniden Cordless Phone system that is currently showing as "Out of Range". Base station shows as "New CID: 1" Cannot connect to telephone line from any of the 4 handpieces. Answer machine does connect.

Hi.

Try using the procedure below to reset the phone:

  • Disconnect all power adapter cables from wall sockets.
  • Remove all handsets from cradles.
  • Remove all battery from cradles.
  • Fit back the batteries in their handsets.
  • Place back handsets in their cradles.
  • Connect power cables.
The procedure above will reset the system and will re-sync handset (or handsets) to cradle. I wrote at plural because the phone system may have more than one cradle/handset.
If that does not work, then the phone is defective.In that case you will need to replace/repair the faulty handset or the whole system.

If there is no communication with base, then either in cradle or handset can be defective. In that case contact Uniden.

Had the same problem which is easily solved by unplugging the base station, waiting for 30 seconds or so, and plugging back in again. CID and phone book then magically reappear (though I don't know for how long)

While talking on cordless other party's cell phone disconnected. Now all cordless Uniden phones are saying "Searching" and do not work - main phone rings but no caller ID.


Sounds like someone unplugged the power on the base station, or the power supply failed on that base station. Do you have a spare power supply? Is there power at the outlet?

I have uniden cordless phone model dxa15588-2, how do I register handset on base?


1-Press the hangup key (represented by a red phone) and the "#" key at the same time for at least five seconds.
2-Select "Deregister hs." Choose the handset and press the "Select" key (which also shows an envelope for messages).
3- Choose "Yes" to confirm deregistration. The phone clears its registration information from the base and deletes the link from its memory. The message "Handset not registered -- place handset on base to register. See owner's manual for help" now shows on the display. If you are out of range of the base, "Out of range" shows.
4-Place the handset in the base charging cradle. The phone automatically selects a new security code from those stored in the base.
5-Make sure your phone is working again after "Registration Complete" shows on the display

Phone disconnects and shows "out of range of base" during calls


Press "Menu", Select "Handset Setup", select "Select Base", and then on that Select Base screen, move the arrow next to "Auto" and press select. I have been told this should solve your problem.

better do registering again the phone to the base station. you ma consult your user manual on how to register again the handset.

i know that you dont want to hear this but that means it must be replaced. you should be able to get a replacment form where you purchased the phone

I had the same problem!

What you need to do is hold the "end" and "#" key for 5 sec, which will deregister the headset then all you would have to do is place it back in the base for it to registered again.
