Absolutely the right answer for me. Couldn't get it to work no matter what troubleshooting Bissell suggested. Took apart the sprayers as above suggested and it works as good as it did the day I bought it. Thanks.

Ensure you have water in tank and solution (or water in solution tank). When you start the vacuum up, the pump starts to prime itself. If you have air in the system, it takes a little longer to prime. Allow the vacuum to run for 1 minute before attempting to pull the trigger. Then pull the trigger.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to open the unit up and check the hoses for any clogs, and next test the pump to see if it is functioning.

It could be the pump. You can open it up and see if the pump is working by taking the pump input tube and inserting it into a bowl of water. Pull the trigger and see if water is leaving at the pump output.

However, ensure you have the simpler things covered first:

Bissell proheat 2x 9200 won't spray even after replacing pump, solenoid, cleaning hoses, heater, spray ports, filters, checking wiring all working ckd gasket. excellent suction now still won't spray

You can have mineral deposits at the nozzles when you take off the front container you'll see two white clips you can pinch them with your fingers and lift them up with a small screwdriver there is a spring retaining clip that slides off with a low pressure you can pull the nozzle out see if you can blow through it both directions often minerals build up in there and once they do it won't spray to get them out after you do that you can put white vinegar in place of your soap solution and put some of it in the water container run that through for a few minutes and it will clear out the rest of the debris if it's a mineral problem

Our Bissell 9200 carpet cleaner will not spray cleaning fluid through the tools nozzle. With the tool dial set to "floor" fluid comes out of the front nozzle. With the tool dial set to...

Assuming this is the pro heat version
Most likely you have some debris blocking the system. You need to follow the hand tool cleaning instructions.
remove the hand tool and manually wash it
select the tools cleaning option
place the tube in a bowl of clean water and allow it to **** the water up - this should clean out any blockages in the pipe.

I can't get the solution to spray or suction from the floor . the hand attachment will spray somewhat and suction, but not from the floor. i have the blue 9200

If it is only a problem with the floor sprayer, this suggests that the nozzles or tubes to the floor unit are clogged. Take off the water storage part, and you'll see two red clips (these are the floor nozzles). Squeeze and pop these out, and see if they are clogged.

If that is not the issue, open the unit up and see if the tubing supplying the front (floor) nozzles are clogged.

Please let me know if this was the issue or not.

Bissell Proheat 2x model number 9200 Sometimes it did not release water. Then today I unpluged it and went to a different room pluged in does not work tried different outlet will not turn on

These are two different problems the first could be a clogged heater soap coagulates in the heater passages and clogs the flow of water to see if this is indeed the problem turn the unit on and try and spray water with the top trigger (floor nozzle) then try to spray at the hand nozzle if you get water at the hand nozzle but not the floor nozzle it is the heater. The hand nozzle water bypasses the heater. Also check the solution or soap tank if you pull it out and there is not red seal on the bottom it may be stuck in the machine and won't create a good seal check to see if it is still in the hole where the tank inserts. As for the unit not turning on that could be a number of issues cord, switch or just over heated. Visit www.stevessewandvac.com for any parts or questions about this machine or any other.
