ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
If you have to check/replace/repair your drum motor,drum seals,belt,rollers, etc.
If replacing drum seals be sure to use a good grade of weather proof cement to hold the seal/s in place, some seals are furnished with the cement to glue it in place.
Note: This method works for most front loading machines.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch,start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer if necessary. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch or other electrical connections.
Remove the lint filter and the two screws that hold the filter housing to the top of the dryer lid.
Then remove the top of the dryer by inserting a screwdriver between the top and frame on each side of the dryer to pop the lid up from the retaining clips.
Note: Some of the tops tilt backwards on a type of hinge and do not have to be removed completly.
Remove the front of the machine by disconnecting the door switch and removing the two screws located on either side of the dryer frame.
Move the door and front of machine forward to remove.
This will expose the belt,idler bracket and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
Note:The way the belt goes back on is, as the belt comes off the drum has to be doubled (pushed together to form a loop) and goes under the idler pulley then to the motor pulley.

While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil or a vasoline type of lubricant. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.

The wiper motor on a Volkswagen is an electric motor connected through a drive linkage to the wiper arms. Windshield wipers are an integral feature for operating a motor vehicle safely. If your wipers are not functioning, or seem to lack the speed or power they used to have, the wiper motor should be removed and replaced immediately
.


Location
  • The wiper motor on a Volkswagen is located directly underneath the plastic cowl cover. The cowl cover is located directly below the windshield.

Removal
  • Begin by removing the wiper arms by prying off the covers at the base of the arms and removing the nuts that secure the arms to the drive shafts. Label the passenger and driver arms so they can be installed in the same positions. They are not interchangeable. Remove the rubber hood to cowl weather seal. Unscrew the plastic fasteners from the driver's side of the cowl cover, then remove this half of the cover. Remove the fasteners from the passenger's side cowl cover and remove this half of the cover. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor wiring harness by separating the plastic wiring connector. Remove the three bolts that secure the wiper motor to the vehicle's body. Pull the motor slightly away from the body, then remove the nut that connects the motor shaft to wiper linkage. Remove the motor.

Installation
  • Place the new wiper motor into position in the cowl and reconnect it to the wiper arm linkage. Then reinstall the three retaining bolts. Reconnect the plastic wiring connector to the wiper motor wiring harness. Place the cowl covers into position below the windshield and reinstall the plastic fasteners that retain them. Reinstall the rubber hood to the cowl weather seal. Reinstall the wiper arms in the same position you removed them from, along with the wiper arm retaining nuts and lower wiper arm covers. Turn the windshield wipers on and test for proper operation. If the wiper blades slap against the bodywork surrounding the windshield, loosen the nuts that connect the wiper arms to the shafts and adjust.

Where can I find a Precor 9.21 treadmill motor cover?


Do you know which version of the Precor 9.21 you have? There are a few different versions you can view here. Click on your version to view the parts list and look for "Cover, Motor" or "Motor Cover".

For instance, if you have the 9.21 (AYYZ), the proper motor cover is this part #5019749

However, this part #5005569 is listed as the proper motor cover for the 9.21 (F5), 9.21i (2X), 9.21s (F6), 9.21si (2Y), and a couple others. Make sure you have matched up your exact model number with the motor cover you need so do you not order the wrong part.

My W840 message : 9.12.00 Service Motor Error


The PC (photo conductor) cartridge motor does not rotate at the specified speed.

Check the PC cartridge for installation.
Is the PC cartridge installed securely?

Check the dual drive motor assembly for operation.

Open the rear motor cover and check it.

1. Enter Diagnostics mode.

2. Select MOTOR TESTS.

3. Select Drum unit motor.
Does the motor rotate normally.

Check the dual drive motor assembly for installation.

Open the rear motor cover and check it.
Is the dual drive motor assembly installed securely?

Check the rotation of the rotor in the dual drive motor

assembly.

Open the rear motor cover and check it.

Can the rotor be rotated by hand without excessive load?

To Remove:
  1. Remove the PCM.
  2. Remove the coolant reservoir.
  3. Remove the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
  4. Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  6. Remove the blower motor mounting bolts.
  7. Remove the blower motor insulating cover.
  8. Remove the blower motor.
To Install:
  1. Install the blower motor.
  2. Install the blower motor mounting bolts.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
  4. Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
  5. Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
  6. Install the coolant reservoir.
  7. Install the PCM.

To Remove:
  1. Remove the PCM.

  10. Remove the blower motor.
To Install:
  1. Install the blower motor.
  2. Install the blower motor mounting bolts.
  3. Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
  4. Install the blower motor access cover.
  5. Install the blower motor access cover retaining screws.
  6. Using black weather-strip adhesive, seal the cut line.
  7. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  8. Reposition the PCM connectors.
  9. Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
  10. Install the coolant reservoir.
  11. Install the PCM.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Open the glove box door. Gently squeeze the retainers at the rear of the box inward and allow the box to swing downward. NOTE: If additional access is required, unfasten the glove box hinge retainers and remove the assembly.
  3. Label and disconnect the electrical harness from the blower motor.
  4. Remove the blower motor housing tube and/or blower motor cover.
  5. Remove the blower motor retaining screws.
  6. Remove the blower motor from the A/C evaporator. To install:
  7. Install the blower motor in the A/C evaporator and tighten the retaining screws securely.
  8. Install the blower motor housing tube and/or blower motor cover.
  9. Connect the electrical harness to the blower motor.
  10. Reinstall the glove box and close its door.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the three push pin retainers from the lower edge of the auxiliary heater and air conditioning service cover.

  7. Loosen the three retaining screws and remove the blower motor. To install:
  8. Install the blower motor and tighten retaining screws securely.
  9. Install the blower motor housing tube.
  10. Connect the electrical harness.
  11. Position the service cover and install the three push pin retainers from the lower edge of the cover.
  12. Install both rear passenger seats.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.

I have to replace the blower motor in a 99 astro van. Can it come out from the hood side or through the dash side?


1.Remove the air cleaner . CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
2.Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3Remove the electrical connector.
4.Remove the coolant recovery and windshield washer fluid reservoir assembly.
5.Remove the screws that retain the acoustic cover. The acoustic cover is located in the blower motor area.
6.Cut the acoustic cover between the ribs. IMPORTANT: Retain this portion of the acoustic cover for reassembly.
7.Remove the cut piece of the acoustic cover from the blower motor.
8.Remove the cooling tube from the motor.
9.Remove the screws that retain the blower motor to the case.
10.Remove the blower motor from the vehicle.


Ensure that the following components have not been damaged or distorted:
The flange of the blower motor
The blower fan
Repair or replace any damaged or distorted components, as necessary.



INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Install the blower motor to the case. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1.Install the screws that retain the blower motor to the case. Tighten Tighten the screws that retain the blower motor to 2 N.m (18 lb in) .
2.Install the cooling tube to the motor.
3.Install the screws that retain the acoustic cover to the case. Tighten Tighten the screws that retain the acoustic cover to the case to 2 N.m (18 lb in) .
4.Install the clips to the clip lands. The clips secure the acoustic covers together.
5.Install the coolant recovery and washer fluid reservoir assembly.
6.Install the electrical connectors. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
7.Connect the negative battery cable. Ensure that the circuit operates properly.
8.Install the air cleaner.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. If equipped, remove the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) from the engine compartment.
  3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube.
  5. Unplug the electrical connector(s) from the blower motor, as necessary.
  6. Remove the blower motor-to-case screws, then carefully withdraw the blower motor from the case.

To install:
  1. Install the blower motor to the case and secure using the retaining screws.
  2. Engage the electrical connector(s) to the motor, as necessary.
  3. If moved on early model vehicles, reposition and secure the A/C vacuum tank.
  4. Connect the blower motor cooling tube.
  5. Install the coolant recovery reservoir, then if equipped, install the VCM.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.

Utility Models
See Figure 6
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. If equipped, remove the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) from the engine compartment.
  3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube.
  5. Unplug the electrical connector(s) from the blower motor, as necessary.
  6. Remove the blower motor-to-case screws (the lower screw is on the bottom front of the cover).
  7. Disconnect the harness from the blower motor.
  8. Use a razor or utility knife to cut through the cover on the cut line as neatly as possible because the access cover has to be reinstalled.
  9. Starting with upper half of the cover, tear the remaining part of the access cover from the remaining portion. Then remove the lower half of the cover in the same manner.
  10. Remove the blower motor assembly.

To install:
  1. Install the blower motor assembly.
  2. Connect the two halves of the access cover together using the three flange clips.
  3. Using black duct tape, place a piece of the tape along the bottom lower edge of the lower half of the lower cover only. The tape has to be the full width of the cover.
  4. Install the access cover onto the case.
  5. Install the screw and align the cut areas.
  6. Seal the cut areas using black weaterstrip adhesive. Do not use RTV to seal the assembly. The weatherstrip adhesive bead should be as straight as possible to ensure a neat and professional finish to the cover. Allow the adhesive to set at least 15 minutes until it skins over.
  7. Attach the electrical connections.
  8. Attach the cooling tube and install the coolant recovery reservoir.
  9. If removed, install the VCM.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable and refill the coolant reservoir to the proper level.

Need help for safety hazard?


where was the motor to be used so it needed a cover, health and safety issue only the moving parts that can trap your fingures or grab your hair need to be covered,and if made of steel they need to be earthed, other way to make was to hinge the cover from a base that is made to completely surround the motor and use 3 screws to secure or aslide bolt but you need to let the motor breathe as it will burn out or catch fire with the heat generated by the motor
