Make sure your printer drivers are installed fully and properly, if they are not, uninstall the existing (incomplete or improperly installed) drivers completely and re-install them, that should work.

Have two identical epson stylus photo 2200 printers. One is working. The other now is not connecting with the computer. Tried switching cables with the working one and using same computer.

being identical does not mean that the two use the same driver or usb port setting
each has to be installed separately into the computer and given a printer identification tag

Why is it that wireless printing using same hardware and service provider will no longer work at new address and SP account?

When you say :"identical" do you mean the same unit, or another unit of the same model? I experienced the same issue after moving, with a new "identical" model modem/router provided by the ISP. Until the provider replaced the router with another "identical" one I couldn't get the wireless printer (HP in my case) to connect no matter what I did either using the WPS function or entering my network settings manually. Other wireless devices worked okay.

My ip address on my computer does not match the ip address on my hp3035 xs mpf

When you say does not match, how close are they? Normally in small office or home network, the address should be almost identical except for the last 3 digits. For example:

Printer 192.168.1.20

Computer 192.168.1.25

If you are connecting both units to a router then if you set both your laptop and the printer in DHCP mode you should get the correct address for both.

I put a tesco brand identical cartridge into my Lexmark 5600 and a message said that the cartridge was not compatible with my printer. As i said the new cartridge was identical to the old one. Please help.

Unfortunately, the printer manufacturers want to make money selling cartridges. So they add little things that tell the printer if this is a genuine cartridge from the manufacturer. The alternate brands can not always keep up with this coding. Before you give up, try reseating the new cartridge. Otherwise, try the manufacturer's exact replacement cartridge.

I wish that I could be of more help.

Do I need server to hook it up to 2 computers?

Depending on your exact setup, usually you can do this. First, create an admin account on the desktop PC and the laptop. Make sure the info is identical, including the account passwords. Next, make sure to share out your printer from the desktop printer settings. Now, map a network drive into your desktop computer from your laptop. Example: If your computer name is 'desktop' - open My Computer from your laptop, got to the 'Tools' menu at the top and choose Map network drive. IN the window that allows you to choose a drive letter, pick one and then in the computer/location area put the path to your PC like this: \\desktop (remember to substitute your computer name where I have desktop) you can find your computer name by right-clicking your My Computer icon and choosing properties, then hit the second tab titled computer name. Hope this helps.

unless this is a wireless enabled or lan RJ45 connectable printer you cannot, the pc that the printer is connected to must be on at the time of the printing.

Wireless printers have their own arial and allocated ip address, Lan RJ45 connective printers can be connected to the router.

We need to print from wireless laptop .help please

Hi,

I am assuming that:
1. There is installed a shared printer in one of the other computers in your network; or
2. The shared printer is connected to a Wireless USB Printer Server;
3. The laptop can connect to the network and is authorized to access/use shared resources.

Procedure would be identical to installing a printer. Follow on screen instructions. Click on Start, Printers & Faxes, Add a Printer, Next, tick "A network printer....", tick "Browse for a printer", Next, Select printer choice, Next, OK, make default, print test page. It might take a bit of time while drivers are copied from the printer server to your laptop. In some printer that is directly connected to the network, you need to pop in the CD that came with that printer and install. Thereafter, you need to change the port setting in the Printer Properties to TCP/IP and point to the assigned IP address of the printer.

Hope this be of some help/idea. pls post gain how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
