I lost my connection to my 2wire158. I made the mistake of listening to a tech person. She told me to remove it from my control panel. What to do?

I know the operating system is Windows XP. As far as wireless or wired, I have UVerse. They diconnected my 2wire 158 and put what looks like a USB plug names netopia-3D reach.

Do you have a phone number so that I can talk to you in person, rather than by e-mail?

Samsung microwave smh9187 error 5E or SE what to do?

Hi, I had the same problem and in my case the fix was easy. First the root cause: there is a ribbon cable inside the microwave that connects the control panel to the keypad, which is kind of folded. Over time, condensation will make two pieces of the ribbon cable stuck together, causing short circuit. The solution is to separate the pieces and put a piece of paper in between. First you need to access the control panel by unscrewing the top grill of the microwave. After removing the top grill, you will see a screw holding the control panel to the oven. Just unscrew that one and remove the control panel. You will then see the ribbon cable. Inspect whether it is folded and the two sides are stuck. If yes, just separate them and put a piece of paper in-between.

It no longer keeps time right and the person who sold it to me told me to replace the c-mos battery but I was told its internal and I would need help even though I work on my 5 desktops all the time.

The c-mos battery does need to be changed, the outer casing should have a few screws "remove side panel" and that will expose the large motherboard, now! if you look carefully you will see a round battery that is shaped like a silver coin, remove it carefully and pay attention to the polarity + or - that way no mistakes are made when you install it. ( Before you begin unplug the computer)

I was told by a service tech that my vizio tv model VT420M has a bad main board and that the board is not available. I have spoken with 2 more service companys and told the same thing. The set is 5 days...

I just now called vizio and read your request word-for-word to their technical support person.
They have been known to fix these sets out of warranty. Although the girl said that she wasn't authorized to make that decision.
She told me to have you call this number 877-698-4946 Tomorrow when their level 3 technicians were available. She says that when you call the 1st tier tech support person will then send you one to these senior techs who can make the decision to cover it under warranty. My personal opinion is that they will take care of you. They say the "squeaky wheel gets the grease" I would go ahead and squeak. There is a link I've provided below to help.
I hope the helps,

No lights - no action - no work! And waited 30 minutes on the phone waiting for a rep to speak to after calling and getting a very pleasant person who told me I a "carry in appliance and had to call...

If it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty and the the manufacturer will fix it free.

They may want you to carry it in to the shop, or they may provide in-home service, depending on the terms of your warranty, found in your owner's manual.

GE Customer Service is here and they should be able to give you info on the nearest GE-authorized servicer.

While you're waiting to get that sorted out, you can check to be sure the outlet is fine.

If so, and it's still dead, i
t may be the fuse, which is usually located behind the grille or on the floor of the oven behind the control panel or between the door switches.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

There should also be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Last night I saw the lights in the house flicker momentarily... This morning, I turned the oven on, set it to Bake and within a few seconds, the control panel reported error code “F6 E0” then shut the oven off. The control panel also reported "Lost communication...". I read on another site that this code may require replacing the control panel itself. Apparently, the momentary power fluctuation wasn't large enough to damage the electronics (since the control panel still works), but was significant enough to confuse the electronics controlling the oven. To fix the oven, I simply turned the 30 AMP breaker for the oven off for about 5 minutes. When I turned it back on, the oven worked just fine. Solution #1 recommends taking off the control panel, which voids the warranty. It's more likely that it was fixed just by cycling power to the oven via the breaker.
