Question about Garmin StreetPilot c340 GPS Receiver
Please help me update my GPS System. It is not working until I do so. I also am not a computer geek and do not understand cyber-jargon. Simple English will do. Thanks.
I could not understand your method of "help". The instructions and the prompts were not clear at all.
Instead of relying on you, I called the Garmin headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, and asked for service. I do much better talking with a human being.
All I got from you folks was a demand for some kind of e-mail service (for $9.99!) that I did not need and your so called "help" would not occur if I did not buy it. It was charged to my VISA. I'm not happy about that!
Meanwhile, I have to do some other things to update my GPS that do not involve you. The service person at headquarters guided me in some of the update process.
Now I have some questions for you: Why don't you post your 1-800 number somewhere? It would help your customers a lot! Why is there no reference to service centers anywhere? You guys are expert at selling your products, but service? - well - that leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe all your customers are computer experts - I don't know, but for the rest of us, you leave us hanging and scrambling for service. Why?
