Driver for HD-PNTU3

This drive showing as not supported for Linux as you mentioned.
Usually this is due to the board inside the enclosure.
You could crack open the case and mount the drive internally which would resolve this issue.
Otherwise you are down to trying to find a driver (not made for this model) that will be recognized by your system.

Mike

My external hard drive fell down twice on a carpeted floor. Now, I cannot open it with whatever USB cable I use. The computer can recognize the device, but it cannot read the files in it when I access it...

If the drive can be recognized by the cmos there is hope. Remove the drive from the case and plug it in directly to your computer. It should be recognized by the cmos and should be accepted as a secondary drive when your master drive boots up. Then use windows explorer to get into the drive and transfer the files out of it. Remember that if this works for you the issue might just be with the case electronics. If drive is recognized but you cannot see the files, you can get recovery freeware on the web to do the deed.

My buffalo external hard disk can not read since yesterday, I/O device error. previoous was working fine. Do not know why? my Buffalo external hard disk model :HD-PX320U2

it is a PNP (PlugNplay) device. Try using a different cable to connect to your pc. Should the problem remain, hook it up to a different computer and if it doesn't see the drive, it will be an electronic circuit failure inside the box. The data is still on the hhd but you will have to obtain a new circuit to bring the hhd back online for use.

Every time I connect my Buffalo Hard disk (HD-PE320U2) and try copying data it shows IO device error. I don't know what to do! help me. Formatting did not help!!!!

That error signals the fact that the motherboard can't communicate properly with the controller of the disk. It's a hardware fault and it's unfixable - this disk is dead, replace it.
