You have a problem most likely with the air temerature control blend door actyautor or the door is jammed or in most cases both. Repair requires the dash to be removed so have it properly diagnosed as the repair is well over $1000.00

My kenmore side by side icemaker quit working after a power outage. Is there a reset button? The tray has ice but it won't cut or dispense the ice

If you are having a problem with your Kenmore refrigerator's automatic defrost feature, it can lead to issues with the appliance's performance. The Kenmore self-defrost system works similarly to that of other refrigerator brands and it has similar components that can potentially malfunction and cause the entire system to fail. While you can still manually defrost your Kenmore by opening the doors and unplugging the unit for several hours, it is inconvenient and messy to clean up. Your best bet it to find the issue and repair it.

My ac or heat won't work

For the a/c, you may be out of refrigerant, and need it to be refilled.
For the heat part, it is most likely one of the following things: low coolant, thermostat, heater core, or maybe even radiator malfunctioning.

If you need some diagnostic tools to test the A/C, I recommend the actia multi-diag.

My true freezer won't defrost?

Check the defrost timer (in the base, circular knob you can turn till it clicks) If it doesn't heat up rapidly in the evaporator, there is a safety overheat device (thermistor) that may be cutting power to the heater, or there may be a fault with the heater itself. Are you sure the fans are working, and the condenser grill is nice and clean?

Help, i turned by Bosch Logixx GSL 14424 GB freezer off to defrost and it now won't turn on...

Turn it round and check the electrics for the compressor are dry. You probably flooded them when defrosting and may have shorted something. If it still won't start with everything dried out, call a fridge technician

Kenmore side by side freezer not cold and there is frost on back of freezer wall

you have a defrost problem,it's not going into defrost, bad defrost heater, defrost thermostat, timer or board depending on what model you have.next time send the model number,it should be in the fridge section,on the right hand wall up near the ceiling.first thing if it has a timer advance it into defrost by turning it with a screw driver or if it has a board remove the bottom kickplate and look for the tech sheet,it will tell you how to put it into defrost mode or unplug it..remove all the food and shelves and inside back wall of the freezer, with a hair dryer start melting the ice around the heater if it has a glass heater on the bottom ,if you can't get it into defrost you can unplug it,remove the two screws that hold the heater into place and look at it,if it's all black inside the glass change it out,you can check it with a meter to see if it's good but sometimes it will read good but like i say if it's all black change it out,if you have a calrod just a black rod going around the coil most likely this won't be your problem,it will be the thermostat, next you have to check the thermostat,it's on the top of the coil,if you know how to get it into defrost, first unplug it,then cut or unplug the two wires going to the thermostat, bypass the thermostat by wiring the two wires together, plug it back in,put it into defrost and if the heater comes on then you know the thermostat is bad,it's a good idea to change this while you're in there anyway, also if you look at it and the top looks like it's buldging off then water got inside it and it's bad,if you send the model number it would be easier to help you but you get the idea, you have a bad part in the defrost section,if you have another fridge you could just shut it down and it will melt out on it's own, then you can check the heater with a meter, the only thing is the thermostat has to be cold to read it out with a meter, like i said it's a good idea to change it anyway, you can cut or unplug the wires and bypass it and see if the heater comes on,if it does come on leave it on,it will help you melt out the ice or cut the wires, remove the thermostat and put it in the other freezer so you can check it with a meter but the best way is to just bypass it,put it into defrost and see if the heater comes on,if the thermostat and heater are good then you have a bad board or timer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-h541_14ZE copy and paste, this is not a side by side but the thermostat is in the same place on the coil, just remember where you remove it from if you change it out,it has to go back on the same spot.if you need more help send the model number and we can go from there.it's a little tricky trying to tell you what to do without knowing if there's a board or a timer in it.hope i didn't confuse you and good luck

Most likely the water from defrost was sizzling and your defrost heater has burned out. The unit won't defrost and your heater assembly needs to be replaced if that's what happened
