Question about Panasonic SDRS50 Camcorder S

1 Answer

I have a Panasonic SDRS50 - I haven't used it in several months, but did record some stuff a few days ago. I'm trying to download it onto my computer but the camcorder screen seems to be hanging on 'Please Wait' after the USB cord is connected. This is not the USB cord that came with the camera - (I can't find that one) but is a Dynex. I'm not sure why I can't get the camera to download the video. HELP -

Hi, I think the PVGS320 has an external mic input. Plug in a 3.5 mini dummy jack and that should turn off it internal microphone.

SOURCE: upload footage off video camera to laptop

The simplest way to save the video to your laptop (note that you won't be able to view it from there) is to buy a cheap USB card-reader that handles SDHC cards - about US$10 - and simply pop the card out of the camera into the reader. You'll see the card and all files as a new drive. You can also play the video from the card in the card reader.

SOURCE: Inability to download video from Panasonic VDR-D150 camera

Hi

On this camera you need to go into the menu and select USB function and tell it to go into PC mode.

Otherwise the USB is in printer mode and the PC will not recognise it.

I am not sure if you got a manual with your camera so I have included this link for your convenience where you can download it.

http://support.panasonic.be/shop/data/User_manual/Movie/IM_VDR-D150EB_UK.pdf

The manual is not very clear on this instruction but see page 94 for a reference to what I mean.

Hope this helps. Please do rate this answer. Thanks.

Hi - I have been recording some of my vinyl albums onto CD's for several months now. All of a sudden, when I went to use the turntable yesterday, I can't get the Record light to light. What am I...

If the red indicator on the record button does not light, reload a record-able dics, wait a few seconds until "NO TOC" and "CR-R" (or "CD-RW") indicators light on the display, and press the record button again. BE sure your using the CD -R or -RW disc and make sure to use a disc bearing the "Digital Audio" mark on it.

Most Combo Recorders (VHS and DVD) will prevent you from
recording a Copyrighted VHS tape program onto DVD.
Try recording a TV program onto your VHS tape, then
transfer it to your DVD and see if your new DVD recording
will work or not.

Have you tried starting windows using the safe mode, and if it does start up in the safe mode, did you try to restore your system to a previous date that it was working properly. Sometimes when you have your kind of problem, even though several months have past, the calender for restore is lock too at the time your system went down. this gives you the opportunity to restore to a date close to when your system failed.
Before you try restore, make sure you do not have a virus that has corrupted you system, run a virus scan first. If you haven't done so I suggest downloading Malwarebytes anti-malware that is free online, it works very well, and Microsoft uses it for there systems.
I hope this is helpful, good luck, I hope you don't have to purchase the setup CD.
