If you go the manufacters website they should have a place to register it. If it is a washer you got new from the store if you look in the manual that came with it it should have a section for you warrenty. That should have a phone number or a website you can use to register the washer to keep the warrenty good.
Contact Canon. They answer such questions all the time, If the 2nd year warrenty came from some store like Best Buy, contact them. They won't rip you off. They want you back for your next camera.
One year alway been one.U never read the little leaf lit that said Limited Warrenty came with ur instructional manual and register postcard ur new product for further contact and warrenty of the product.
Nope all you need is your receipt, I highly recommend that you photocopy your receipt a couple of times though as they faid after a year and when they are un readable your warranty is gone.
