Could be the feed dogs are not advancing the fabric. First check to insure that your stitch length is adjusted correctly. Also insure that the clutch wheel is tightened (little wheel inside the big wheel). If stitch length is set to 1 or 0 (darning setting) this is your problem. If the stitch length is correct then rotate the machine by hand and watch the feed dogs to insure that they are moving in an elliptical pattern and rising above the throat plate. If the feed dogs are not moving then the hex screws securing the connecting rod that connects the feed dog mechanism to the drive shaft may have worked loose. If this is the case the timing will need to be readjusted and the screws tightened.

My machine model is 2405, i placed some thread on the bobin and placed it back. unfortunately the thread on top does not join the lower thread, what shall i do?

the sewing machine probably needs to be serviced to see if the
machine needs to be timed or maybe some adjustments need
to be made.

My singer simple machine is only sewing in place or reverse, what to do?

when a sewing machine is sewing in place that mean the feed dogs are not up,, if the are up & it's still sewing in place then there is something wrong with the feed dogs & they need to be checked.

Have not used it in a very long time and it is making a lot of noise and not sewing smoothly. I suspect it needs to be oiled but I have no sewing machine oil and the manuel does not say where to oil it....

Buy clear sewing machine oil at a sewing store. Take out the bobbin and place the oil behind the hook then turn the hand wheel a few times before putting the bobbin back into place.

Like a car, the oil inside the sewing machine needs to be changed and the whole machine needs to be taken apart and relubricated at least annually, even if the machine is sitting in your closet. The oil inside the machine, on the gears and other places where there is friction, tends to get thicker and paste-like the longer it is in the machine. Unless you know what you are doing, it is best to have someone who knows her or his way around the inside of machine, clean it out and lubricate it for you.

How to oil Spartan 327k sewing machine

Use only sewing machine oil. Get an oiler with a long spout so you can reach far places, put a single drop of oil on every place that has metal moving on metal.

My machine did not come with an instruction

Hi! There are several places on line where you can purchase manuals for the machine. The first place I'd check is with Janome (www.janome.com) and then another good place is http://www.sewingmanuals.com/.

Good luck!
