Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Goodluck!

Are you trying to find a particular term in the geometric sequence?

For example, in the geometric sequence 2,4,8,16 to find the 15th term we would use the formula a sub n = a sub 1 x r ^(n-1), where a sub n is the nth term of the geometric sequence

a sub 1 is the 1st term of the geometric sequence

r is common ratio between successive terms

n is the term you are looking for

In our example, a sub 1 is 2, r is 2 and n is 15.

a sub n = a sub 1 x r ^(n-1)

a sub 15 = 2x 2(15-1)

a sub 15 = 2 ^ 15

a sub 15 = 32,768

On your calculator, you use the key to the right of x^2 to do x to the nth power.

Good luck.

That depends on what you mean by "halfway." The arithmetic mean is 138. The harmonic mean is 110.4. The geometric mean is about 130. Any of them can be considered as being "halfway" between 92 and 184.

The mean is a measure of central tendency, an average. There are several different types of means, including arithmetic mean, geometric mean, and harmonic mean.

This calculator can do some arithmetic with complex numbers, and it can do some operations with matrices. Unfortunately the two do not intersect. You cannot do complex matrix operations with this calculator.

Sorry if that wasn't the answer you wanted to see. That's just the way the calculator works.

You're in BASE-N mode for integer arithmetic. Press MODE 1 to get to COMP mode for real arithmetic or MODE 2 for CMPLX mode for complex arithmetic.

The fx-115ES does not have a modulo operator. However, it is possible to compute the remainder using integer arithmetic. Press MODE 4 to shift into integer mode. Then calculate A modulo B as

A - B * (A / B). For example, to calculate 41 modulo 6, press

4 1 - 6 * ( 4 1 / 6 ) =

and get 5.

Press MODE 1 to return to real arithmetic.
