Can you please tell me how to get the back off my watch. It's a Armani Exchange - AX5304

The easiest way to remove it without damaging it is to take your watch to a jeweler.

The battery needs replacing on my JL U44 Champ League watch.Three jewellers cannot remove the back plate saying its vacuum sealed. Any ideas how I can get the battery replaced please?

Some watch backs are very difficult to remove without scratching or damaging the case. The three jewelers consulted do not want to chance damaging the case so they invented the vacuum sealed excuse to pass on it.

How do i remove the back to replace the battery on this watch

Watch backs are usually either push-fit and simply need to be levered off, or are twist-fit and need to be rotated off. If there are a number of indentations around the rim of the back then it is likely to twist off. You need to get a suitable tool or tools to remove the cover or you will damage the back of the watch. Check on amazon or ebay for watch repair tools. Getting the cover back on is usually harder with push-fit and is more likely to lead to damage without the correct tools.
Or take it to a watch shop and they will replace the battery for you!

With respect, if you have to ask you should get a watchmaker or jeweller to do it for about 5,pounds, without the correct tools it is highly likey irreparable damage will be done to the case in trying.
If you insist, there are broadly two main types of case back. One is a pressure clip that requires 'flipping' off with some force and the other is a screw type with keys meshing for at least three or four different models of tools to unscrew them. They mainly differ by make or model. It is the amount of force needed that usually causes damage when trying without the correct tools. When a watch is water resistant, a new gasket or two would need to be fitted if you want to retain the case integrity.

I'm trying to replace the battery, in my mother's Indigo Acqua watch. I can not get the back off?

If you are struggling with the back then the best advice I can give you is to take to a local jeweler as they have the correct equipment to do batteries, easily and without damage to your watch. Most batteries are going to be less then $15 and its worth it to not have the headache and damaging it if unsure what to do

My Timex has N8 on the back. I have replaced the battery, but am unable to snap the back in place again. Is there a trick to it?

take it to a jewlers shop, they have a special press to smash those SOBs back on. Its almost impossible to do it without a press, and you risk damage to the case/crystal, go on and spend a few dollars, its good for the economy too.

How to remove the back cover of the Swiss Army Victornoix pocket watch so to replace the battery?

The back will either have a small slot on one edge to pry it off or indentations around the perimeter for a case wrench to unscrew it. Specialized tools are used to avoid scratching the case. You best bet is to take it to a watch shop and let them do it. Most places charge between $3 - $8 to properly do it without damaging the case and they should also change the gasket to maintain water resistance if so equipped. Once you have it open you risk damaging the movement as you change the battery. It's not that it's a tricky procedure but you can easily damage something that will cost a LOT more than $8 to fix if you don't have experience.

Eddie bauer watch runs slow

This usually means the battery is dying. Usually the backs on these are very tight, and the back has to be taken off to replace the battery. You might be able to get the back off without damaging the watch, but you probably will not get it back on without breaking the crystal. Best thing to do is take it to a reputable watch repair place or jewelry shop and have them replace the battery for you. Before they begin, make sure they are willing to replace the crystal for free for you if they break it!
