Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone

1 Answer

I have a blackberry curve 9300. Last night the battery was at about 24% but when i woke up this morning it wouldn't turn on. It has been plugged in for hours and all I get is a picture of a bettery with a red X though it. There is a status bar underneath but it won't move past about 60%. I have taken the battery out and put it back in. The screen goes black the led comes on red for a few seconds then goes out. Then the battery with the red X appears and the status moves to about 60%!

SOURCE: Blackberry 3550

You need to connect it to a PC and reload all the Operating System back onto the device.
Its JVM errors.. it means the operating system got messed up, AT&T has walked me through that one before. If you have a BB software CD (comes in the box) you can do it.

SOURCE: I have a blackberry curve 8310, all that appears

I would try another battery. Has the phone ever gotten wet? If it has it could be a product of liquid damage.

Contact your carrier and ensure you are provisioned for Blackberry Data and not standard Carrier Data.
Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

You can unlock blackberry curve 8300 without knowing your password, but it will erased all your data. If you want doing in that way, just keep enter 2 more wrong password again and your blackberry will be autoreseting and you can setup new password. That's the only way to unlock blackberry password.

My blackberry curve 9300 wont turn on i left it on charge over night and their is still no sign of it turning on ive removed the battery serveral times and not once have i seen the red light, befor it...

Try this.

Plug your BB into the charger.

With it plugged in take the battery out.

Wait a minimum of two minutes then put the battery back in.

Let it charge for a minimum of an hour before touching any keys or the trackpad.

If it still won't charge consider replacing your battery.

Blackberry curve wont power on. Worked fine yesterday. Put on charger last night. This morning phone was off and wont power on. Took battery out, then but back in still wont turn on

First charge your mobile for atleast 1 hour, and switch it ON you to remove the battery when mobile is turned ON and wait for few seconds re insert the battery then check

If problem still exsists connect your blackberry to computer check wheather its recognising the device If "yes" you need to take a back up of your hands set and re-install the operating system of your Blackberry. To perform a clean installation of the BlackBerry Device Software using Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.5 to 5.0, perform the following steps:- 1) Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager. 2) Click Help. 3) Select About Desktop Manager. 4) Click the Device Software tab. 5) Verify that the BlackBerry Device Software displayed is the latest version currently available from the wireless service provider.
