There's a little spring assembly under the key which you will have to re-assemble and then snap-fix onto the keyboard. It's a tricky affair and you'll have to be patient, but once you get the assembly right, it'll snap into place with a solid engagement.
Hope this was useful.

Replace keyboard key

You do not mention which laptop you have.

Usually you can just pop off the keys. When you pop off the key gently. Sometimes you may find foreign material underneath, which may prevent the key from working. If that is the case, just remove the junk, and pop the key back on.

How do you repair a keyboard button that has popped off?

Laptop keyboard keys will "pop" back on just as easily as they "pop" off.

place the key over the raiser. center it and give it a push. if the raiser or key sockets are not damaged it will just pop back in. Otherwise you will need to replace the key.

you can find boards on ebay. Replacing the board over the key is usually better. Many times people selling keys charge 7-12$USD a key where the board coudl be 20-30. Personally i rather get the new board but each has their own choice

The function key is stuck on and the strat menu

What you need to do is to get a skinny flat tip screw driver and pop it back into position. But be careful though because if you pop it off you might not be able to get it back on. I have popped my f8 key on my laptop and haven't got it back on due to some tiny plastic pieces that if you don't have on correctly you won't be able to pop it back on. If you bought the laptop recently you may be able to go where you bought it and see if they can fix it for you.

Relocate the popped-off keytop and place it back over the correct location. Press down very hard until it locks itself back on.

How do you re-affix a key that has popped off? My

Keys can be difficult to reattach. First check that the key and the place it attaches to are not damaged. Try to see how the key is attached.
Then try hooking the key over the back and then pushing at the front. If that does not work try hooking over the front then pushing at the back. Last try a firm pressure from the top with the key level in all directions.

Broke the g key on the keyboard how do I fix it? Can it pop back into place?

Keys on a keyboard are designed to pop off. First, you get the two little white pieces together and back onto the base itself. Then push and wiggle the key back on.

Hope this helps.

F1 key popped off my Presario C700 keyboard! Is there a way for me to pop it back on?

Most likely yes, most keys on keyboards can be popped back into place by seating the key directly above the housing and pressing downward until it clicks. If any other parts besides the key were loosened or flew out like a wire clip or plastic housing, then it won't seat or click into place.

Key popped off keyboard

On the Keyboard, There should be a small little clamp housing. On the back of the key you should see a piece of metal that is sort of Staple shaped (A non bent staple) Just try and put the ends of the metal into the housing, Then apply a little amount of force onto the key to pop it back in.
Before applying pressure, Make sure that both ends are properly in place.

Hope this helps!
