Lost my password and can't get connected wireless

I believe your referring to your wireless network password?
If so, you'll need to acquire your wireless network's password to connect wirelessly. You can connect your Roku device to your router without a password using an Ethernet cable until you resolve the password issue. The network password is the same one you'd use for connecting any wireless device to your secured network. If you can't remember your password, you'll have to login to your router through a browser on your computer, and access the wireless settings where you can find, or set your password. Default network login information can usually be found on a sticker somewhere on your router.

Modify the router's settings.

Follow this instructions:1. connect via hard wired connection using your PC (network cable)2. open your internet explorer or any browser.3. type the numbers 192.168.1.1 on the address bar4. you will be routed to your router's settings, type admin for USERNAME: and admin for PASSWORD.5. look for the basic setup/settings6. look for the wireless settings7. under your SSID comes the WEP or WPA-PSK option8. that is your wi-fi password, then modified it and remember the password you use for you will need to enter it on your pc when you are connecting via wireless connection.you can select ASCII for password. it should be alpha numeric or combination of letters and numbers.9. select save and apply. then you are good to go.

This person asked you for the password folks . Why cant you listen? Vizio routers come with preset passwords None of the garbage you offered helped this person . I have been through this. Vizio has a problem. When you by the router it comes with three passwords. Here is the one that I have and works on my mine I have lost the other two. I,m sorry. But here is one. If you don't remeber the wireless security code, maybe you still remeber the user and password to access the web management interface of the router.
Then you have to connect the laptop to the router by using a network cable. Open a browser window, type in the IP adress of your router and check the wireless setup section. There you can find / modify the wifi security code.

If you don't know the router's IP adress, then open on your computer a ms-dos prompt and type the command
ipconfig /all

it will display your current IP adress, subnet mask and GATEWAY. The gateway adress is the router's IP adress that must be typed into the browser.

If you don't remember the user and password for accessing the router's web interface, please refer to the router's user manual in order to reset it to factory default configuration, and then proceed as for the first installation of the router.

If you still have the same settings enter http://192.168.1.1 on your browser and enter 'admin' in the password and username should be left blank. You should be able to access the setup page and enter a new password.

If it's the wireless password and you can still access the settings, you can change or add an additional wireless password (so you don't have to worry about changing it on your laptop). Or it might display the password on the security page, if it isn't asterisked out.

If you lost the administration password, you'll have to press the reset button, its a hole in the back of the router or bottom, try shoving a paperclip point into that. Hold it down for 30 seconds. Then, in your web browser, go to 192.168.1.1, leave the user ID blank and type admin for the password. Since everything is set back to default, you'll need to completely redo your security settings and change the wireless password in your laptop to comply with your changes.

So you've lost the password that you set up for your linksys router and no one remembers it. Generally you can do two things. Buy a new wireless router or you can reset the router to it's factory default and then save the password before you forget again.

If you have lost the password to access the router page then you have to reset the router

Ensure that you have all the details regarding your internet connection before resetting the router

If you reset the router you can run the smart setup wizard and get connected by entering correct information in all the pages of the wizard
