Hi,

Welcome to FixYa!

BIOS is one important component of a computer, its where you can change some important settings inside the computer itself. Are you the one who set up the BIOS password? If not, unfortunately, there's no way for us to retrieved the password. The only way you can reset the password to default settings is to reseat the CMOS battery on the motherboard, its a circular thing that looks like a battery of a watch, sometimes a pin hold it, just detached it then wait for at least 30 minutes then connect it back again,

Note: Before you reseat the CMOS battery, make sure that everything is unplugged on the computer, like AC adapter, battery and all external devices...

Hope this will help...Thank you for using Fixya...

    From FixYa's own.....(durtopian):........the Password Jumper
To disable the power-on or setup password features, or to clear the
power-on or setup passwords, complete the following steps:
    1. Shut down the operating system properly, then turn off the
computer and any external devices, and disconnect the power
    cord from the power outlet.
    2. Disconnect the keyboard, monitor, and any other external devices
    connected to the computer.
Ã?WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from electrical shock
and/or hot surfaces, be sure to disconnect the power cord from the wall
outlet, and allow the internal system components to cool before
    touching.
Ã?CAUTION: When the computer is plugged in, the power supply always
has voltage applied to the system board even when the unit is turned
off. Failure to disconnect the power cord can result in damage to the
    system.
Ã?CAUTION: Static electricity can damage the electronic components
of the computer or optional equipment. Before beginning these
procedures, ensure that you are discharged of static electricity by briefly
touching a grounded metal object. See the Safety & Regulatory
    Information guide for more information.
    3. Remove the computer cover or access panel.
    4. Locate the header and jumper.
✎ On most system boards, the header is labeled E49 or P49.
✎ For assistance locating the password jumper and other system board
components, see the Illustrated Parts Map (IPM) for your particular
    system.
    5. Remove the jumper from pins 1 and 2. Place the jumper over
pin 2 only, in order to avoid losing it.

    Password Security and Resetting CMOS
    6. Replace the computer cover or access panel.
    7. Reconnect the external equipment.
    8. Plug in the computer and turn on power. Allow the operating
system to start. This clears the current passwords and disables the
    password features.
    9. To re-enable the password features, repeat steps 1-4, then replace
the jumper on pins 1 and 2.
    10. Repeat steps 6-8, then establish new passwords. See the

Password unloking

The simplest way to remove BIOS password is to simply remove the CMOS battery. A computer will remember its settings and keep the time even when it is turned off and unplugged because these parts are powered by small battery inside the computer called a CMOS battery. If we pull out this battery, the computer will forget alot of its hardware settings, including its BIOS password. This should not be performed on Laptops if you are not experienced working with laptop hardware.
If that doesn't work,you'll need a bios/cmos password recovery tool from http://www.biospasswordrecovery.com

What's your problem I NEED MY BIOS PASSWARD

To reset the Toshiba BIOS password, use software

ACPI Flash BIOS version 2.30 for Satellite L655
(support for model L655-S5101, etc)

Important
1. This release offers the option to install the BIOS directly from within Windows operating systems. To do so, simply select the 'Windows Installation' option from the Launcher menu, and click 'Ok'.
2. Please close all programs before executing the Windows-based installer.
3. It is REQUIRED that the computer be connected to AC power via the AC adapter, and that the power-save mode is set to 'Full Power' or the equivalent while installing the BIOS.

How to use:
1. Download ACPI Flash BIOS
2. Double-click the file sk2cv230.exe - select install

3. After the install is complete, the image will appear as below. Highly recommended you read the instructions first, or you can select Install from Windows.

4. Click OK. Do you want to upgrade the BIOS - Yes

5. After the update completes, the computer will automatically shut down or restart. Power on the computer if it is off. While the "Toshiba" LOGO is displayed, press the F2 function key to start BIOS Setup. Check the version of BIOS and press the F9 function key then Enter to load setup defaults. Press the F10 function key then Enter to save settings and exit. The computer will automatically reboot.

Hello.

I would suggest accessing your account and then changing the password.

There is a hidden Administrator account that is created when your operating system is installed. Access that account and then reset your password.

1. Boot your computer and press F8 repeatedly
2. Access Safe Mode
3. Key in "Administrator" in Username, with no password.
4. Go to Control Panel, then User Accounts
5. Select the account you want to reset the password
6. Change the password

Hope this helps

Acer Aspire One BIOS hard drive password?

BIOS passwords are set individually for each computer, so even though two of them might be the same model or from the same company, they won't have the same password.

Generally, BIOS's don't have passwords, and they shouldn't have a password by default. If someone has set up the BIOS with a password, there is no way to recover the password other than remembering it.

If you can't remember the BIOS password, you'll have to have the BIOS flashed, which is like re-installing an operating system for the BIOS. I would suggest taking it in to a computer repair shop and asking them what they can do.
