Temporary error: 14

That's a temporary error as far as I can tell. Temporary errors can be caused by browsers that are not supported by Yahoo! Mail. Please ensure that you are using one of the following browsers and operating systems:

Windows XP, Vista, and 7:
  • Internet Explorer 8.0 and newer
  • Firefox version 3.5 and newer
  • Safari version 4.0 and newer
  • Google Chrome version 5 and newer
Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, and 10.6:
  • Firefox version 3.5 and newer
  • Safari version 4.0 and newer
  • Google Chrome version 5 and newer

you can try these troubleshooting steps:
  1. Refresh your browser and retry accessing your Yahoo! Mail account. If this does not work, please proceed to next step.
  2. Log out of your Yahoo! Mail.
  3. Clear your internet browser's cache and cookies.
  4. Close or disable all other programs and browsers running Yahoo! Mail (for example, if you have your Mail open on your mobile phone, log out there.)
  5. Close and restart your web browser.
  6. Log on to your Yahoo! Mail.

How can I change my password

Hi David,
This is how you can change your password.
  • Log into your Yahoo!Mail Account.
  • Click on 'options' on the farthest corner on your right hand side next to 'Mobile Mail'
  • Select 'mail options' [this opens a 'Mail Options' page]
  • On your left hand side,[where there's the 'back to mail' option] click on 'Account Information.'This opens a new Sign in to Yahoo! page.Note that you only have to put your password and click Sign in.
  • Now your Accounts information is displayed here.
  • Under 'Sign-In and security' is the 'change password' option.Click on it.
  • Now change your password and save.
Hope this helps.Thanks!

Not able tp open my yahoo to read my e-mails

Maybe your internet connection is very low.
Or You have forgotten your password.
Or You have forgotten you log in ID
Or You have forgotten both password and ID
Or You are restricted by your network administrator

If you can see the yahoo log in dialogue box, click on 'I can't access my account' or log in using your google or facebook accounts - click on as shown.

Pleas if this is helpful, rate me accordingly. thanks

I want my classic yahoo mail back

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account In your web browser, go to the Yahoo! Mail home page (http://mail.yahoo.com). Sign in to your account using your Yahoo! ID and password, then click the yellow Sign In button. Once you've successfully logged in, you'll see your email folders on the left and the What's New and Inbox tabs in the middle.

Step 2 Choose the Mail Classic option On the upper right side of the page, there are three links -- Mobile, Options, and Help. Click Options, and when the drop down menu appears, choose "Mail Classic..."

Step 3 Confirm that you want to switch back A dialog box will pop up with two choices -- Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic and Cancel. If you're sure you want to switch, click the first option; otherwise, choose Cancel to keep the New Yahoo! Mail. (If you wish to provide feedback about Yahoo! Mail, you can click the feedback link in the dialog box, which will open up a new window.)
Depending on your computer's speed and your Internet connection, the switch may take several seconds. When it's completed, you'll be looking at the old familiar Yahoo! Mail Classic interface.

My yahoo account has failed to open, while trying to answer a question on help, I can't remember the nickname of my youngest child

What you do now, refer to the alternative e-mail you used to open up this one.
You will find there the e-mail log in ID and password, then use these.
If you had changed them in this account, then there will be trouble logging in

Cannot open my yahoo.mail

Hi,

This may sound absurd but you're logged into yahoo mail but was staring at the in-box for hours because you can't access your in-box or you simply can't open those emails even though you're almost there looking at email previews.

No matter how you try to open the in-box folder, you simply can't access it or you're too close to reading the email by clicking on the preview link but it just wouldn't open and all you see is a blank screen.

Generally, we access our email via yahoo's web interface or sometimes we do it from yahoo messenger window when new email alters come. Whichever way we do it, we cannot always assume that since yahoo is a large company, we definitely won't get server errors. In fact, if you happen to have used an extension from firefox that could determine web servers, I've noticed that local yahoo mails are sometimes hosted somewhere else, like for example, Singapore for some parts of Asia.

Have you ever tried accessing your yahoo mail via IM and were able to run into any of the problems stated above? Then you don't really have to uninstall or remove the messenger or clear your proxy settings in case you're using one. There glitches sometimes occur but that doesn't mean your account has been compromised. It's also cumbersome to delete your account then create a new one just to get away from this hassle.

You may try logging out then clear your cache or refresh/restart browser then logging in again. In my experience, I even switched browsers but if the problem persists, don't log out but open this link.

http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/

As you can see, it's a yahoo mobile interface but it surely works like magic although there's no way you can log out from it, simply close the browser window whenever you're done reading your emails while you still can't access your mails using the normal site.

Also, pictures are not viewable using the link, only pure texts from the email will appear.

Thanking you
