Gas dryer will heat but won't dry clothing

You may have a clogged air vent, check that the air vent hose is not smashed, if it is not smashed, have your dryer vent cleaned professionally, and recheck the dryer operation, dryer vents should be cleaned every other year for optimum performance.

Bonnet hair dryer will not heat

Check for 240V from breaker or check bot fuses...not just one.
There is a thermal fuse somewhere that, if it is open, the heat will not come on. This would be the high limit Thermostat. Find it on your diagram or test all your thermostats that they are good. Test using an Ohm meter. Replace defective fuse or thermostat.

THE DRYER SPINES BUT DOES NOT HEAT

Most of the time this happens when a safety limit has failed. You will need to test them with an OHM meter to determine which one it is.

Pushed dial, dryer would not start. Heating coil on, can feel the heat and hear ticking.

If the heating elemnts are coming on but the drum is not spining then the motor could be bad or the belt could be broken that turns the drum. The motor could also be on a thermal overload in this case unplug the dryer or turn off the circuit breaker for 15 minutes and let everything cool down. After turn the breaker back on or plug it back in and give it a try if you hear the motor running but the drum is not spinning then the belt is probably broken and will have to be replaced.

At this point, it sounds like you are in need of a new motor.

CTD00 Dryer spining but no heat

first you need to establish that you have the proper voltage to the unit. Even though the motor runs, it (the motor) only requires 110 volts. The heat requires 220 volts. The only way to check is with a volt meter.
