Question about Maytag Neptune MDG9700A Gas Dryer

1 Answer

I had my Daughters Bra in it and it caught somewhere and now the drum doesn't turn. I am thinking that since it ripped the bra to **** maybe a pce of it is caught in the drum runner. When I tried to mannually turn it in on position ...something clicked and now it doesn't turn at all...please advise...I have taken dryers apart before to repair the Teflon guides.

When you turned it mannualy it probably popped the belt off the pulley. Also if it was a bra with a metal stay check to see that they are both still in the bra. Hope this helped.

How do I remove a piece of metal from bra which has got stuck under the insiden cylinder and drum

it completely has to be pulled apart and once you have done that you will probably find the bra wire while spinning around has ripped into the plastic outer tank so bad it will now leak and have to be replaced & this is the most expensive job to have done it sounds silly for a bra wire but you should honestly consider buying a new machine it often ends up cheaper to do so rather than spending 3/4's of the price of a new one fixing your one.

Bra wire stuck somewhere in machine

You will not see it as it is trapped between the inner and outer drum, what you need to do is remove rear panel and the large hose from the pump to the bottom of the drum,
Then reach in with your fingers and see if you can feel it , if you can't then short of removing the drum (not recommended) ther is not a lot you can do, hopefully it will find it's way into the filter, where it wiil not be a problem
Plz rate this solution.

Washing machine Drum rattles

It is probably between the clothes tub and the outer tub. To remove it from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub and try to remove the clothing through the port. Good luck
