Good Evening

Go to and select the country you are in. Now choose the Maxi Cosi Priori XP from the list of Group 1 carseats, and download a copy of the instructions for the seat. Included in the instructions is a step by step guide for removing the fabric. Make sure you don't pull the harness out as well!

I want to fold down my back seat on my 1999 Chevy Cavalier but the hook/corded loop came off and i don't know how to get my back seat down ...any solutions???

You will probably have to disassemble the rear seat to fix the latch. The lower seat cusion has latches that can be pushed in with a flat-blade screwdriver. If you pull up on the seat a little, you can see them. They are made of white plastic. There is a button on the front of them that will release the lower cusion. I usually use a flat-blade screwdriver to push on the latch buttons because they can be really hard to push by hand. Once the seat cusion is out, you can access the bolts that hold the seat back assembly in. You can remove these bolts and remove the entire seat back assembly.. Once the seat back is loose, you will have to reach around the seat assembly to remove the push-clips that hold the trunk-side carpet to the back side of the seat. You will then be able to work on the seats to repair the latch. (pull cords)

Top goes down but not up

the hydraulic pump /resevior is located behind the back seat.lift up front of bottom cusion, pull forward, remove.lift up on seat back, like it's hanging on hooks.remove.locate fill screw or rubber plug on top of resevior.w/ top down fluid should be 1/2'' to3/4''below top of fill uses automatc trans fluid,so if you see red fluid under the seat you have a leak.

You will have to remove the rear seat.Go to the bottom cusion in the front and yank it up,about a foot in from the outside on each side.Once it out there are some bolts on the bottom of the back rest cusion remove those and push it up and remove. Then you cen get to three nuts on each strut top.

Third row seats

A little plastic bumper, located on a metal tab on the inside of the bottom seat cushions breaks off. It is supposed to hit the seat back release and allow the back to fold down when you push the bottom cusion in all the way. I finally just bent the metal tab up so it would hit the release and that fixed it. (Look for the broken palstic pieces under the seat cusion area as an indication) The dealer replaced the plastic part several times... a waste of time.

Open broken trunk

There are 2 possibilities. 1. Persuade it from the outside. Depending on the damage you might be able to just stick a large screwdriver in to the tumbler and turn it clockwise. OR if the rest of the lock and tumbler can be removed without further damage to the metal around it then remove it. You can then shine a flash light in and see a small rectangle where the lock rod used to go in to. Use a screw driver to unlock the trunk by inserting it in to the rectangle and turning clockwise. 2. Remove the back seat. If you can't remove the rest of the lock cylinder, then you'll have to remove the back seat, crawl through the trunk and use a pair of pliers to grab and twist the lock rod that goes through the trunk lock. To remove the rear set you first push backwards and lift up on the bottom seat frame. You'll need to apply force to the lowest point possible on the frame. Tt is easiest to do one side at a time. Sometimes if you look under the seat you can see where the seat frame hooks in to the body of the car. Once the lower seat cusion is out you'll need to unbolt the lower corners of the seat. I believe on this car the bolts that hold the lower part of the upper seat cushion also hold in the seat belts. Seat Belt bolts require a large TORX bit. You might also need an impact wrench to get the seatbelt bolts out. I have seen people rip the seat back away from the bolts as it is only paperboard between the seat and bolt. Keep in mind though if you do this you will not be able to properly reinstall the seat and that could be hazardous in a sudden stop or accident. Once the seat back is unbolted it lifts off of a couple of hooks on the body. Then you'll need to remove some insulating materials and finally you can crawl in to the trunk.
