Camcorder broken , How to remove tape?

Hey,

I have the same problem and I found this fix in a service manual. It worked, but my tape motor adjustment is off. So be carefull.
The 3v dc is easy to make, connect 2 batteries 1.5v in serial, you get 3V dc.
Let me know how it goed.

It reads unit is in safeguard mode Eject and reinsert tape I need to see a manual of the inside of the tape housing unit because I found a black rubber wheel that I think needs to be put back in

Remove the battery while the camera is at the "on" position then put it back. Press the forward or rewind button then stop. This should solve your problem. It works for ither JVC owners. Are you try with other new tape?

Turn's out that JVC Does that to protect your camcorder some do it some don't because there might not be a problem and JVC will pay a tech to unlock this mode under waranty and you can get extended waranty by calling satis fusion at 1-888-269-6432 even your item is out of waranty.

Hop helps.

I have 3 of these cameras. One is DOA. No power

This is a professional machine. No power? check the breaker at the bottom rear side, this is accessible you can even see its marking. Could be the breaker if not, there are fuses inside sometimes protects for some reason. This machine has two DC DC regulators one found at the rear side(near battery compartment, hard to access) and another one easy to access below the handle near center(PS BOARD), needs only four screws to open. Mostly PS board damage if no power symptoms shows with all fuses OK. Good Luck

Tape jammed in jvc camcorder

The way I can get a tape unjammed on my Sony camera is to remove the battery, plug the camera into the AC charger that is plugged into the wall outlet. Then power the camera on, wait a few seconds. Then unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few more seconds (camera still in "on" position) and then plug it back in. I have used this method at least 3 times to get the camera to release the tape.

Condensation

Camera has a sensor inside to detect condensation
Condensation can occur if the camera is moved from a cold environment to a warm one.

So open the tape compartment, remove the tape to allow maximum airflow and wait for the camera to warm up

Regarding Condensation please wait
This message comes when your camera hasn't experienced a sudden change of temperature, this could indicate a possible fault.

Thanks for using Fixya

Removing dv cassettes manually

open the unit and look for a small motor that ejects the tape through a series of mechanical gears, slides and hinges. Now turn this motor by hand.
