Old computer died and I've lost the download for the Nikon L20 transfer

I presume there was a disc that came with my Coolpix L20. I no longer have the disc. I went to the site which came up from your email and the site wanted to buy another product!

Is there a simple way to get the NIKON TRANSFER downloaded onto my new computer?
    I'm ... obviously ... computer illiterate! THANKS!

Thanks for helping me get there!

What you need? Software, user manual or how to download/recovery files?

Software: Nikon-Coolpix-l20
User Manual: L20/19 User's Manual (File Size ~ 3.95 MB)
Recovery Pics: Recovering-those-accidentally-lost

Hope this helps.

If you connected the camera at pc and on in "view mode" your explorer program in the pc could detected ths camera like a external device, so, just sleect the files in the SD Card and copy/paste in some folder in the pc.

Also can check in the "software" label in this link: COOLPIX-L20.ProductTabs.Software

    Keep us updated.

Nikon COOLPIX L20 Digital Camera + lost connection message

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

If your computer has a USB port then it's not too old for a card reader.
