Since your unit is still covered by the warranty its best to send it to them, as if the switch is broken, yes it will void your warranty if you start pokeing inside and replaceing it yourself. Best solution is to take it to warranty and get it fixed.

Also provide more details on the fault, what is the message? Does door close properly.
Check the door latch, move it with your finger, it must have a small sensor, if it does lock up you can get a fault message.

If it is still under warranty, see if you clear the problem in a simple way opening and closing the door, otherwise is better to use your warranty and get a repair or replacement.

Xp9000 does not in form me that it has run out of beans, any help please , thanks

They only know that the beans is empty when it comes to compressing the grounds into a puck just before brewing. If the brew unit has nothing in the chamber to compress then it assumes you are out of beans.. Remove and thoroughly clean the brew unit and make sure grounds are exiting the grinder when the grinder is running.

How to remove safely plastic casing on Krups XP9000

Remove book holder at back by pulling it off by hand. Undo the screws visible at the back cover, there's about 4 or 5 or so there. Unclip that centre back panel now screws are out. Remove clear beans cover, remove water tank, lift up the lid to drop grounds direct to brew chamber. Both side lids in open position. Now firmly grip the top cover and try and slide it directly backwards. If it is stuck a firm thump against the front side of the cavity you removed the water tank from while still pulling the top cover backwards will free it up. The sides lift directly upwards to get them off. When replacing the water tank side panel you need the front door open to clear a little spring leg.

Krupps XP9000 won't accept date so therefore won't switch on

Are you attempting to put the date in in the wrong format. USA = month and then day, normal folks day and then month. Check language setting.

When machine is turned on from the off position it does not go into rinse mode message comes up to hot please wait and yet the machine has been turned off for at least 20hrs

the power on sequence for the XP9000 is
1) Internal diagnostic
2) if no cold water, display notice and wait for water level in cold water tank
2) if water heating block is not hot, display notice and wait for block temperature
3) display "Rinse Press Hot Water" notice and wait for button press
4) rinse
5) display "Select Beverage" and wait for button press, ground coffee flap, or other input switch state change.etc...

in short... its doing what its supposed to.

Please consider reading the manual supplied wih your XP9000 or downloading the manual if you don't have it.
