How to install broken belt

Why would you want to put in a broken belt?

Turn the machine upside down. There are two clamps that hold the sole plate on, un click then. This will reveal the 'belt alley' where the belt runs from the motor to the roller. Lift the roller out of the slots. Take this time to clean all the hair and threads off the roller.

Put the new belt over the wooden pulley on the roller and put it almost back in. Put the other end of the belt over the motor shaft. Stretch the belt by returning the roller to its slot. Put the sole plate back on - snap the clips - Presto.

Simple

How to put the belt on the deit devil breeze

Here is a detailed discription on how to change your belt. Turn the machine compleatly upside down and place head on a flat surface. There are 4 screws to take out, then remove the base plate. Near the back of the channel the belt rides in you will see a stright silver shaft. Place the new belt over that shaft. The put the brush roller through the belt, so the belt is in the notched out section of the brush roller. Grab both ends of the brush roller and pull till the brush roller is back in it's origial spot on the base of the vacuum. Turn the brush roller 3 compleat turns backwards, then do the same forward to seat the belt. Put back on the base plate and put back the 4 screws. You are now ready to vacuum.

How to put a Kirby Vacuum belt back on New belt seems too short

To put on a kirby belt all you need to do is put on the belt on the brushroll, put the brushroll into the housing making sure the marks on the end of the brushroll are the same. Take the spin dial in the front and "hook" the belt till the dial reads off. Put the head back on the machine and spin the dial to "on".

How do I replace the brush roll on my oreck xl??

Turn the vacume upside down. Remove the 5 screws on the bottom plate. 3 are near the brush roll, and 2 are near the back. Remove the bottom plate. take the belt off the motor end. pull up on both ends of the brush roll. Put new brush roll on making sure that you put both ends to the new position, not old. ( it is marked on one end, and there are marks on the side that goes up so the can match.)(If putting back the old brush roll you can switch to the old position. After a year or two you can switch the new brush roll to the old position.) Put the bels back on the motor shaft and then stretch and start the belt on the brush roll and rotate the brushroll by hand untill the belt is all the way on.
put the bottom plate back on and tighten the 5 bottom screws.

Cannot fit a belt to hoover whirlwind

on the top of the base you will see three slots on each side of the top of the base the middle slot has a screw one on each side take those out and the cover will lift off.you will be at the roller and belt.lift up on the roller and put it on the side .you must clean the old rubber left on the motor shaft first before installing the new belt.otherwise the new belt won't last long.slip the belt over the motor shaft then put your roller brush through the new belt.you might have to pull forward on the roller to get it in place because of the new belt ,they are a little tight at the beginning.then alighn your roller ends and put the roller back in their slots.turn the roller by hand till the belt in in the middle of belt guide on the roller .now you can put the cover back on .then your in buisness.

Kirby hoover

Turn the latch to release the nozzle as. Take off the bottom plate, remove the brush roll, check it while you have it out, put a new belt over the brush roll and reinstall back into the nozzle, belt should be in the center, put the bottom plate back on. Then turn the big knob on the front until it stops, this gets the belt ready to install. Reinsatll the nozzle back onto the vac, latch it, then turn the knob back the other way and the belt will be on the pulley and you are set to go.
