Question about Omega MARS-22 Remote Vehicle Starter with Keyless Entry
Since the status light goes on this is not a remote problem - something is wrong with the base and you will have to test it. But, since it has slowly deteriorated, it's most likely a defect in the base unit.
For that connect a voltmeter on the unlock wire command and activate the remote - the 12 volts should appear on the wire. If it doesn't then check the output of the starter command - if it's also inactive then you will know for sure: the control processor in the base unit has failed.
This is terminal - it cannot be fixed since the base is a sealed unit, unserviceable. The system is dead and you will have to completely replace it.
